The popular Kanywood actress, Hauwa is said to have died at a Kano hospital on Wednesday night. Her passing away was confirmed by Kannywood actor, Ali Nuhu, who disclosed that she died after a brief illness. Described as one of the most famous actors in Northern Nigeria-based Kannywood, various news outlets said Hauwa passed away Wednesday evening at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano. Social media users who seem to know her said she was born in Kaduna, and was among few Hausa actresses who featured in both English and Hausa films.  National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on human trafficking has announced sultry Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, as their ambassador. The actress was honored with the role on Friday during a courtesy visit with the members of her NGO, Tonto Dikeh Foundation, to the Headquarters of the Agency in Abuja as part of a collaboration to fight against trafficking in persons. Popular Bollywood actress who has been in the acting industry over decades has died of cardiac arrest. The veteran actress and producer Sridevi Kapoor, died on Saturday night Feb 24th at the age of 54 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sridevi  who was regarded as Bollywood's first female "superstar" in India died of cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she had gone along with her family to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. She was with her husband, producer Boney Kapoor, and daughter Khushi at the time of her death. Her brother-in-law confirmed the sad news to the Indian Express. "Yes it's true. She was in Dubai while some of the other family members came back to India. We hear it's cardiac arrest." Her death comes just two days after she posted a cute family photo on Instagram.
