Nigerian troops of 22 Brigade deployed in operation LAFIYA DOLE of the has announced they've rescued over 1000 hostages from the Boko Haram Terrorists enclave. The operation which was conducted in conjunction with allies of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), rescued the hostages from Malamkari, Amchaka, Walasa and Gora villages of Bama Local Government Area oThe hostages.   The hostages consisted mainly of women, children as well as some young men who were forced to become Boko Haram fighters.   Speaking with one of the rescued victims, Alhaji Gambo Gulumba from Amchaka village, thanked the Nigerian military for showing them love and care. The Nigerian Army wishes to remind the public of its resolve to rout out Boko Haram and rescued all hostages. World's most dreaded islamic terrorist, ISIS have threatened to launch terror attacks in the United States, in a new propaganda poster, which shows  President Donald Trump about to be beheaded by the sect. Mr. Nathan Sharibu,the father of Leah, the only Dapchi schoolgirl still being held by the Boko Haram terrorists, on Saturday, debunked reports that his daughter had been released. Sharibu, speaking with Punch, described the purported release of Leah as an imagination. Leah was among the 110 girls abducted by Boko Haram on February 19 in Dapchi, Yobe State. About 104 of the girls had since returned after insurgents refused to release Leah on the ground that she refused to renounce her Christian faith. However, reports emerged on Friday night from online platforms, quoting BBC Hausa Service that Leah had regained her freedom and was on her way to reunite with her parents. A journalist and a close ally of the Boko Haram sect,Ahmad Salkida, has opened a can of worms on the untold stories behind the abduction of some girls from a school in Chibok area of Borno State in 2014, Daily post reports. Salkida, who was once declared wanted by the military over his alleged connection to Boko Haram militants, revealed that the violent group had wanted the then government under Goodluck Jonathan to swap its detained members with the abducted girls but the deal hit the rocks. Salkida said his efforts to seal the deal were truncated at the eleventh hour by the then Chief of Defence Staff. The Commander of the United States’ Special Operations Command Africa ,Maj. Gen. Marcus Hicks, has described Boko Haram as the most lethal terror organisation in the world despite claims by the federal government that the extremist group had been significantly degraded and technically defeated.   The issue of Boko Haram’s power came up at a press briefing held in the US during the week on anti-terror efforts of the US government and made available to Thisday by the US embassy. Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have arrested one of the Boko Haram suspects in white shirt who is No.5 on the Nigerian Army wanted list and three other suspected members of the group. The vehicle conveying the suspect and three members of the civilian vigilante (Civilian Joint Task Force), were intercepted by troops on Thursday 29th March 2018 at the Forward Operations Base along Kano - Azare road, in Bauchi State. On interrogation, the Civilian Joint Task Force members claimed to have arrested the suspects in Lagos and he is taking them to Department of State Service (DSS) office in Maiduguri for further investigations.  Efforts are being made to contact DSS office in Maiduguri for possible confirmation of the Civilian Joint Task Force claims.  Meanwhile, troops has intensify search on the major highway to arrest any fleeing Boko Haram terrorists.

Following the release of other girls exclusion of her daughter, Mrs Rebecca Sharibu, the mother of the Christian Dapchi Girl, has appealed to the Federal government to do everything it can to ensure the fast release of her daughter, Leah Sharibu, from Boko Haram captivity. The sect members held on to Leah after she refused to denounce her Christian faith. Leah's mother who spoke with The Nation said her daughter sent a message to her that her family should pray for the will of God to be done in her life. Mrs Sharibu went into coma after her daughter and the remaining 109 girls were kidnapped by the sect members on February 19th. Yesterday,residents of Dapchi community in Yobe state came out cheering Boko Haram members as they returned the school girls abducted on March 21st. 

The recently released Dapchi school girls who were released yesterday by Boko Haram are presently in Abuja to me with President Buhari at the state house today.

She is identified as LIAH SHARIBU. The only Christian Girl "abducted by Boko Haram" Who was not released yesterday.

According to Sahara Reporters, Nigerian Islamist militant group, Boko Haram today returned 105 girls kidnapped from a high school compound in Dapchi a few weeks ago. Sources tell Saharareporters that the militant group came with the girls in 9 vehicles same way they took them away. There was confusion in the area as members of the community scampered into the bush as the terror group appeared in the area, first dropping off one the girls in a nearby village and then driving into the center of Dapchi town to drop off the rest of the girls. Five of the girls are dead according to our source. It is not clear if the Nigerian government paid any ransom to get the girls released.

Some gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday hijacked a passenger bus and kidnapped about 8 indigenes of Igboho and Ogboro towns along Igboho-Igbeti road in Oyo state, Daily Post reports. The suspects blocked the road and reportedly abducted the eight passengers in the bus. He added that the armed men emerged from a bush at the Old Oyo National Park and blocked the bus. The source confirmed that the kidnappers ordered the occupants of the bus including the driver to alight and board another vehicle they had already parked by the roadside. He said that they were held hostage in the bush for some minutes before they were taken to an unknown destination. Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu who confirmed the abduction, however, said that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude had deployed his men to the area to search for the kidnapped victims, rescue them and arrest the kidnappers.

The U.N medical doctor,Onyedikachukwu Anthony Izuogu, employed as a third-party consultant with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)  who was killnd in Rann, Borno State together with two aide during an attack by Boko Haram terrorists on 1st March 2018 has been laid to rest. Charles Okah, has been handed a life imprisonment by a Federal High Court in Abuja. Charles, who is the younger brother of Henry Okah, was also involved in the 2010 Independence Day bombing in Abuja. Also sentenced was one Obi Nwabueze, who also partook in the bombing. In a 4-hour 30 minutes judgment, Justice Kolawole found the defendants guilty as charged for being responsible for the March 15th 2010, bomb blast which claimed one life in Warri, Delta State and the October 1st, 2010 bomb blast near Eagle Square in Abuja which claimed several lives. Justice Kolawole added that the second defendant, Obi Nwabueze, particularly made himself available to run illegal errands for Henry Okah who provided N1.2m used to purchase five fairly used cars deployed for the Warri blast while Charles Okah, provided the sum of N2m used for the purchase of the four cars deployed for the Independence Day blast in Abuja. Yesterday, the islamic sect, Boko Haram attacked a military installation in Rann, Borno State killing some persons in the process.  However, United States (US) and others, yesterday, condemned the killing of three Nigerian aid workers in a Boko Haram attack. No fewer than 475 suspected member of the Boko Haram suspects have been released by the Federal High Court sitting in Wawa Cantonment, Kainji, Niger state  They are to be sent to their state governments for proper rehabilitation. The suspects were arrested at different states and detained at Wawa Cantonment.   According to a press statement from the office of the Attoorney-General and Minister of Justice, their detention was based on the information that they belong to the proscribed terrorist group known as Boko Haram or that they concealed information about the group which they knew or believed to be of material assistance in preventing the commission of act of terrorism or securing apprehension, prosecution or conviction of members of Boko Haram sect.     The Prosecution Counsel could not charge them for any offence due to lack of sufficient evidence against them.
