The Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, has declared his support for President Muhammadu Buhari and also reveal he can go to any lenght to do anything for him if he so request. Mr Bello,made this disclosure while reacting to President Buhari’s decision against the tenure elongation of national chairman, John Oyegun and National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He said,  “I am an ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has said that we must stick to the 1999 Constitution and APC Constitution. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on Tuesday attended a meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja with crutches. His spokesman, Kingsley Fanwo, had revealed how he sustained injury on his left foot and had his leg bandaged by doctors. He said the incident happened while he was alighting from a vehicle. “The Governor missed his footing last Friday March 30, 2018 while alighting from a vehicle and injured his left foot. He was treated by his doctors, who bandaged the leg and discharged him”, Fanwo said. “We thank all the Governor’s supporters and well-wishers who reached us to inquire after his wellbeing. The rivalry between Senator Dino Melaye and his state governor, Yahya Bello has continued in their battle for supremercy attacking each other on social media. Today, controversial senator Dino Melaye in a new video he shared on Instagram denied allegations that he gave guns to political thugs ahead of the 2019 elections. The governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello , yesterday announced that he had sacked all his cabinent in the state and there was wild jubilation. The controversial governor later asked them to go back to their offices barely thirty minutes after the sack.  Bello, in a statement said, he had dissolved the State Executive Council and the 21 Local Government Administrators. According to Daily post,Gov Bello during the meeting, where he earlier announced the dissolution, pardoned the dissolved appointees and charged them to return to their respective offices. He also asked them to be of higher productivity and as well relate with the masses. The governor’s decision to sack the appointees, earlier received wide jubilation on the streets of Lokoja, as people were seen dancing ecstatically .

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello who is notorious for owing workers salaries and arrears runing into 22-months has been accused by Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye for allegedly  importing restricted security gadgets without end user declaration in the Custom papers. This stunning revelation was made on the floor of the Senate today  Thursday. He explained that the Nigeria Customs has intercepted the items which were in the custody of Nigeria Aviation Handling Company of Nigeria (NAHCO).
