Following the killing of a police officer in Benue state. The Benue state police command has announced the arrest of one suspect simply identified as Ayilamo in connection with the death of a policeman found without vital organs, Dailypost reports. Recalled ,the police officers were ambushed and kidnapped by some assailant who later killed one of them and removed both eyes, and nose plucked out. Fatai Owoseni, the Benue State Commissioner of Police, on Wednesday confirmed that seven persons were killed  by bandit in Gboko,Benue state. Mr Owoseni , disclosed this while briefing newsmen in his office. He said the victims were said to be travelling either to Okene or Taraba State when criminals attacked, killed and burnt them to ashes. He further said that policemen  in the ancient town promptly raced to the scene of incident but lamented that the criminals hurled stones at their patrol vehicle. Owoseni said, “We got information around 11am this morning that some hoodlums believed to be of Tiv stock between 9.30am and 10am stormed a garage in Gboko where they attacked seven people believed to be of Fulani extraction, killed and burnt them.’ “The  passengers were said to be in the park where they were trying to board a commercial vehicle to Okene or Taraba, police in the area of the attack got information and rushed to the place but the criminals embarke...

According to Benue.info, the Benue State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, has exonerated Fulani herdsmen from the ongoing killings in Benue State, the nation’s acclaimed food basket.

Following the recent attack on a popular yam market in Zaki Biam area of Benue state. The Police in Benue  are said to have arrested three suspects in connection with the Monday killings at Zaki Biam in Ukum local government area of the state. 

By Awunah Pius Terwase Few days ago a police officer from E Division Makurdi went and arrested a criminal and while taking him to the station, he pushed the officer down from the motorcycle that was conveying the two of them and jumped off the motorcycle. This happened within Akpehe area of Makurdi.
