Lagst state Police have said that the report of a post-mortem examination conducted on the late Nigerian singer, Zainab Nielsen, aka, Alizee, shows she died from trauma. Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, at a press briefing on Monday said the trauma emanated from the injuries inflicted on her head. Zainab and her three-year-old daughter, Petra, were allegedly murdered on April 5 by the singer’s Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, in their residence at Bellavista Towers, Banana Island, Ikoyi. Peter, 53, was arrested and subsequently arraigned on two counts of murder last Thursday at a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court. A police prosecutor, CSP Effiong Asuquo, had told the court, while tendering a remand application, that Peter hit his wife’s head on the wall, noting that she died from the injuries she sustained. Shameless 40-years-old commercial bus driver has been accused of defiling a 7-year-old girl, who he calls 'my wife' and damaging her bladder which sees her now urinating constantly on herself. The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday at a compound in Ilupeju PalmGroove area, Lagos State. New Telegraph reported that the victim was always visiting the suspect, Baba Michael who lives with his uncle to play with his four-month-old son. But unknown to her mother, the little girl was s*xually violated all that time she went visiting. 188 Guns,Others Seized in Lagos

The Police Command in Lagos state said yesterday it recovered 188 guns and 280 ammunition between September and last weekend, The Nation reports. Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal, who spoke at a news briefing in Ikeja, said among the weapons were those voluntarily returned by residents in compliance with directives of the Inspector-General of Police (IG), Ibrahim Idris. The IG ordered owners of illegal arms to return them from March 1 to April 28 or be arrested. Edgal said the command had made efforts in the recovery of illegal arms. Giving a breakdown, he listed the arms as 38 pump action rifles, six AK47 rifles, 12 double barrel guns, 70 locally-made cut-to-size single guns, 42 locally-made double barrel shot guns, 18 locally-made revolvers and three Barretta pistols. A former Lagos State Police Commissioner (PC), Young Arabamen,72, is dead. Arabamen’s death was confirmed by his first son, Ose, who said his father died at about 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Ose, the ex-PC suffered a brief illness and was recuperating before he breathed his last. “My father died in his sleep. He was sick briefly and was recuperating before he died. He passed on March 14, at about 10:00 p.m. in his sleep,” Ose told The Nation. “Before he went to bed, he took some soup. I will say his death was peaceful. We have not made burial arrangements yet. We are still meeting. Further actions would be communicated to the public,” he said. Lagos State Government Issues Stern Warning Against Fulani Herdsmen

Following the incessant attacks of Fulani herdsman's across Nigeria and to prevent the well being of citizens in the state. The Lagos State government has reinstate that the ban placed on unauthorised modes of movement of animals, especially live cattle, across the State still subsists, stressing that persons found culpable in this act will be prosecuted. Commissioner for Agriculture, Oluwatoyin Suarau, stated this at the weekend while reviewing reports of animal transportation and stray animals. Suarau noted that the menace of releasing cattle along major roads and highways within the metropolis was unacceptable, adding that the State Government was committed to stopping illegal movement of animals across the state. He explained that unauthorised movement of animals can lead to the spread of contagious disease such as anthrax, rabies, tuberculosis and other ailments aside from causing road accidents. President of The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has wade in on salary  saga which has become a norm for some States, advising that the governors  who cant pay workers’ to resign. TUC President, Bobboi Kaigama, said in Lagos that workers could no longer vouch for state governments that non-payment of salaries was as a result of lack of funds. He said that the non-payment could be due to corruption.   Kaigama made the TUC’s views known while addressing journalists after the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos  has approved the payment of N30,000 as monthly stipends to Ready.Set.Work (RSW) interns who have been placed in various organisations for six-month paid internships. The Governor also approved N8million in seed funding for the top five winners of the RSW Business Pitch Competition, whose businesses will be placed in incubation, while the beneficiaries will commence their internships and incubation, respectively, on March 1st, 2018. LAGOS: RCCG Zonal Headquarters in Ajegunle Sealed Off

Officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, (LASBCA), have sealed the zonal headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), under construction in Ajegunle, a hotel in Ikeja and 6 other buildings over illegal development of structures and for breaking government seal. . The operation was led by the General Manager, LASBCA, Engr. Olalekan Shodeinde. Officials of the Lagos State Task Force were on ground to provide security and arrest culprits during the enforcement exercise on Saturday. . Shodeinde told journalists in Lagos that all properties sealed had been sealed up to four times in the past, but that their owners always broke government’s seal to continue their illegal development. More than 11 workers found at the site when LASBCA officials visited were arrested and arraigned at the mobile court, which sat in Ebute Meta area of Lagos at the weekend. They were sent to jail for not being able to perfect their bail conditions after their trial.
