Over 1000 Boko Haram captives reescued by the Nigerian Army [VIDEO]

Nigerian troops of 22 Brigade deployed in operation LAFIYA DOLE of the has announced they've rescued over 1000 hostages from the Boko Haram Terrorists enclave. The operation which was conducted in conjunction with allies of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), rescued the hostages from Malamkari, Amchaka, Walasa and Gora villages of Bama Local Government Area oThe hostages.   The hostages consisted mainly of women, children as well as some young men who were forced to become Boko Haram fighters.   Speaking with one of the rescued victims, Alhaji Gambo Gulumba from Amchaka village, thanked the Nigerian military for showing them love and care. The Nigerian Army wishes to remind the public of its resolve to rout out Boko Haram and rescued all hostages. Father of Only Christian girl, Leah Sharibu Speaks on daughter’s release by Boko Haram

Mr. Nathan Sharibu,the father of Leah, the only Dapchi schoolgirl still being held by the Boko Haram terrorists, on Saturday, debunked reports that his daughter had been released. Sharibu, speaking with Punch, described the purported release of Leah as an imagination. Leah was among the 110 girls abducted by Boko Haram on February 19 in Dapchi, Yobe State. About 104 of the girls had since returned after insurgents refused to release Leah on the ground that she refused to renounce her Christian faith. However, reports emerged on Friday night from online platforms, quoting BBC Hausa Service that Leah had regained her freedom and was on her way to reunite with her parents. Ahmad Salkida makes shocking revelations about Boko Haram; Chibok girls

A journalist and a close ally of the Boko Haram sect,Ahmad Salkida, has opened a can of worms on the untold stories behind the abduction of some girls from a school in Chibok area of Borno State in 2014, Daily post reports. Salkida, who was once declared wanted by the military over his alleged connection to Boko Haram militants, revealed that the violent group had wanted the then government under Goodluck Jonathan to swap its detained members with the abducted girls but the deal hit the rocks. Salkida said his efforts to seal the deal were truncated at the eleventh hour by the then Chief of Defence Staff. Marcus Hicks, has described Boko Haram as the most lethal terror organisation in the world despite claims by the federal government that the extremist group had been significantly degraded and technically defeated.   The issue of Boko Haram’s power came up at a press briefing held in the US during the week on anti-terror efforts of the US government and made available to Thisday by the US embassy. President Buhari Approves $1bn For Procurement Of Security Equipments To Fight Boko Haram

Nigerian President , Muhammadu Buhari has approved the release of $1 billion for the procurement of security equipment to be used in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists. Daily Post reports that the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, who disclosed this at the end of the national security council meeting presided over by President Buhari, said the meeting was to review the security situation in the country. “I can inform you that of recent, our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, gave approval for the purchase of more equipment for the military, worth $1 billion,” he said. Aside Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, all other governors gave the federal government go ahead to withdraw the money from the excess crude account.  Fayose had said Ekiti’s share of the money should be released for the fight against “Hunger Haram”, arguing that the $1 billion would be used for the reelection of Buhari. Nigerian Trops Arrest Wanted Boko Haram Terrorists, 3 Others .. See PHOTOS

Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have arrested one of the Boko Haram suspects in white shirt who is No.5 on the Nigerian Army wanted list and three other suspected members of the group. The vehicle conveying the suspect and three members of the civilian vigilante (Civilian Joint Task Force), were intercepted by troops on Thursday 29th March 2018 at the Forward Operations Base along Kano - Azare road, in Bauchi State. On interrogation, the Civilian Joint Task Force members claimed to have arrested the suspects in Lagos and he is taking them to Department of State Service (DSS) office in Maiduguri for further investigations.  Efforts are being made to contact DSS office in Maiduguri for possible confirmation of the Civilian Joint Task Force claims.  Meanwhile, troops has intensify search on the major highway to arrest any fleeing Boko Haram terrorists.

The Nigerian Army today annouced  the appointment of a new Director, Military Intelligence and an Acting Provost Marshall following Dapchi saga. With the new appointment, Major-General S.A Adebayo, is now the new Director Military Intelligence (DMI), while Brigadier-General H. Ahmed, is Acting Provost Marshal (Army), according to Daily Post. The redeployment is contained in a document of posting and appointment/amendment of Nigerian Army officers, signed by Major-General F. Yamaha, Military Secretary (Army). According to Sahara Reporters, Nigerian Islamist militant group, Boko Haram today returned 105 girls kidnapped from a high school compound in Dapchi a few weeks ago. Sources tell Saharareporters that the militant group came with the girls in 9 vehicles same way they took them away. There was confusion in the area as members of the community scampered into the bush as the terror group appeared in the area, first dropping off one the girls in a nearby village and then driving into the center of Dapchi town to drop off the rest of the girls. Five of the girls are dead according to our source. It is not clear if the Nigerian government paid any ransom to get the girls released.

JUST IN: Boko Haram Members Hijacks Passenger Bus , Kidnap 8 People In Oyo State

Some gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday hijacked a passenger bus and kidnapped about 8 indigenes of Igboho and Ogboro towns along Igboho-Igbeti road in Oyo state, Daily Post reports. The suspects blocked the road and reportedly abducted the eight passengers in the bus. He added that the armed men emerged from a bush at the Old Oyo National Park and blocked the bus. The source confirmed that the kidnappers ordered the occupants of the bus including the driver to alight and board another vehicle they had already parked by the roadside. He said that they were held hostage in the bush for some minutes before they were taken to an unknown destination. Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu who confirmed the abduction, however, said that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude had deployed his men to the area to search for the kidnapped victims, rescue them and arrest the kidnappers.

The U.N medical doctor,Onyedikachukwu Anthony Izuogu, employed as a third-party consultant with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)  who was killnd in Rann, Borno State together with two aide during an attack by Boko Haram terrorists on 1st March 2018 has been laid to rest. Late Izuogu was buried yesterday in his home town, Umukalu Umukor Nkwerre in Nkwerre LGA of Imo State.  His friends and former classmate, Nnabueze Atama took to social media to mourn his untimely death. Borno Police command has clarified that 10 women rescued from Boko Haram are neither police women nor wives of police personnel. It will be recalled that the Federal Government in a statement had on Saturday announced release of 13 persons by the Boko Haram insurgents, sequel to negotiations brokered by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC). The freed persons are three male workers of the University of Maiduguri and 10 women, kidnapped in a raid by the militant group on a military/police convoy on Damboa Road, between June and July, 2017, in Borno State. However, Damian Chukwu, Police Commissioner in Borno, while addressing newsmen during the monthly police officers’ meeting on Monday in Maiduguri confirmed that the women were not police women or wives of personnel. FG Resumes Prosecution Of Boko Haram Suspects

Nigeria's Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has ordered the resumption of prosecution of suspected Boko Haram insurgents detained in various locations of the country. His spokesman, Comrade Salihu Othman Isah, in a statement, said the second phase of the trial would commence at Kainji detention facility. According to him, the resumption of trial arose from the conclusion of investigation of over 1000 suspects as ordered by the court during its proceedings of October 2017 by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. He explained that it was expected that suspects with prima facie cases would be prosecuted, while others without it would have applications made for their discharge. Nigerian Air Force announcsd that they have bombed a large gathering of Boko Haram terrorists in Urga, close to Konduga, Borno State on Thursday. The bombs also razed down the structures of the terrorists.
