This is just a brief profile of the newly crowned Chief of Tiv Land. His Royal Majesty, Prof. James Ortese Ayatse. Read the profile below; BIRTH EDUCATION AND FAMILY LIFE Prof. JAMES O. I AYATSE, an indigene of Mbakan, Shangev- Ya, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State. He was born on the May 12th, 1956 to the family of late Iorzua Ayatse and Mrs Adeior Iorzua ( nee Achaa, Mbarumun, nanev) He attended LGEA school, Orbiam, ikov, Ushongo LGA : LGEA school, Mbagbegba, Shangev - Ya and St Anne's primary school, Adikpo where he obtained the first school leaving certificate. He attended and passed out with a WASC, division one certificate at Government secondary school Gboko. Armed with the excellent WASC certificate. This place is referred as Ijir Tamen... Meaning Tiv Court. It is the headquarter of the Tiv Nation.  This is where the Tiv traditional rulers are all gathered to select a new Tiv traditional ruler 'Tor Tiv The V' after the painful demise of the Chief Dr. Alfred Akawe Torkula the IV .  Culture is what makes one unique. The Tiv supreme council (Ijir Tamen)threw Justice Maurice Ikpambese out of Tor Tiv contest as king makers set to elect new Tor Tiv at Tiv Traditional Council chamber Gboko now. Government officials arrives Ijir Tamen to monitor the selection of a new Tor Tiv by the kingmakers.

The meeting to select a new Tor Tiv which held at Ijir Tamen, gboko today ended in deadlock as government official and king makers engaged each other over selection process. An anonymous source who was at the meeting sent this to me and ask that i publish it. Read what he sent below;

In the early hours of today, Governor Samuel Ortom ably represented by his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Titus Zam addressed Tiv Traditional Council (ijirtamen) in Gboko, the traditional headquarters of the Tiv people where he reiterated his earlier resolve not to interfere in the selection process.

ANALYSIS By Donald Terfa Gaadi  When the late Tor Tiv IV, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Alfred Akawe Torkula died, a vacuum was created to be filled by the Tiv whose population is ranked as the fourth largest in Nigeria.

The delimitation/selection of who to be Tor Tiv the 5th commenced last week in Shangev - Ya where it is hoped that the next Tor Tiv if must come from Kwande, should emanate from.

The next Tor Tiv will be produced by the people of Shitile, Ukum and Tongov otherwise known as Sankera, according to reports.

The Former governor Gabriel Suswam said it is the turn of sankera geo- political block to produced the next Tor Tiv .
