JUST IN: House Of Reps Member From Kogi State Is DEAD!
A rep meber from Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Umar Baba Jibril is dead at 58. Jibril, a three-time member of the house, died in the early hours of Friday in Abuja. One of his political associates, Mr Amuda Dan Sulaiman confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria. He was, until his death, the Deputy Majority Leader of the house. He was also a former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Suspended Lawmaker, Abdulmumin Jibrin Recalled Back After Writing Apology Letter
House of Representatives has recalled the former Chairman of House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin a after almost a year of suspension. Recalled ,Jibrin was suspended in June 2017 after accusing the house leadership of Budget padding. His recall comes after he sent a letter of apology to the House. The letter was read during plenary today by the Speaker of the House, Mr Yakubu Dogara. While presenting the letter, Dogara said that the suspended legislator had met all the conditions necessary for him to resume his duties and that he is free to resume his legislative duties whenever he so wished.
