Over 1000 Boko Haram captives reescued by the Nigerian Army [VIDEO]

Nigerian troops of 22 Brigade deployed in operation LAFIYA DOLE of the has announced they've rescued over 1000 hostages from the Boko Haram Terrorists enclave. The operation which was conducted in conjunction with allies of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), rescued the hostages from Malamkari, Amchaka, Walasa and Gora villages of Bama Local Government Area oThe hostages.   The hostages consisted mainly of women, children as well as some young men who were forced to become Boko Haram fighters.   Speaking with one of the rescued victims, Alhaji Gambo Gulumba from Amchaka village, thanked the Nigerian military for showing them love and care. The Nigerian Army wishes to remind the public of its resolve to rout out Boko Haram and rescued all hostages. Gunmen robbing motorists arrested by Buratai’s convoy [PHOTOS]

Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai and his convoy on Saturday intercepted four local armed robbers. Brigadier General, Texas Chukwu, Director, Army Public Relations, made the announcement in a statement on Sunday on tgeir Facebook page. He noted that the robbers had blocked the Numan – Yola high way, robbing motorists and passengers of there belongings. Items recovered include 3 dane guns, machetes, different kinds of charms. “The suspects have been handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further investigation and prosecution”, the statement added.

Earlier today, queendoosh reported of an unfortunate incident in Naka , Gwer-west area of Benue state following destructions of houses of people by men in camouflage believed to be the Nigerian army. According to what we have gathered from reliable sources ,the army this morning destroyed over hundred houses of people, burnt their farm produce, other properties in Naka . As at the time of making this post, some of the affected persons whose properties were destroyed have been rushed to hospitals following the trauma.

Nigerian Army gives update about it recruitment exercise

Nigerian Army has distant itself from reports of ethnic discrimination in its ongoing recruitment exercise. The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, in a statement stated that the Nigerian Army would remain neutral in its recruitment exercise. He stressed that no state of the federation, including Adamawa would be exempted as alleged by reports making the rounds online. According to the Press Statement from the Nigerian Army by TEXAS CHUKWU, Brigadier General  Director Army Public Relations, t he Nigerian troops has arrested some herdsmen while they were destrroying some farmlands in Benue state. The report also stated that some armed militias,  robbery suspect were also arrested and a terrorist attack was also foiled in the process.  Gen. Chukwu stated that , the troops of 72 Battalion Special Forces on 7 April 2018 while on clearance operation in Gbajimba, Baka, Tomanyi, Iyode and Dogon Yashi made contact with armed herdsmen militias at about 1330hours (1:30pm).  The armed herdsmen militia on fighting one troops engaged them in a fire fight. Nigerian admy have oncw again lost one of it gallant officer in the war front. According to reports, two soldiers including a captain and several armed bandits were killed in a fierce gun battle in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of Zamfara state. Amongs those killed is one of the soldiers identified as Captain Suleiman Muhammed. It was gathered that the troops deployed to the village engaged the armed bandits in a fierce gun duel resulting to the death of two soldiers. Chairman of the LG Alhaji Mustapha Gado told Daily Trust on Wednesday, that the corpses of the soldiers were brought to Anka town and then moved to Gusau the state capital adding that the fight continued. "The commander of the troops was in Anka today from the Bawar Daji village, he came for reinforcement and a good number of military vehicles moved in to the battle field to reinforce those already there," he said. JUST IN: NAF Aircraft Crashes In Kaduna State

Nigerian Air force training air plane has reportedly crashed in Kaduna DailyTrust reports. It was gathered that the plane crashed in Kauran Dawa in Saminaka Local Area of Kaduna state. The airplane known as Diamond 40, is a one person seater training aircraft which is used for training of personnel at the NAF base. However, no casualty was involved as the pilot of the airplane came out unhurt.

Nigerian Army has postponed date of its 77 Regular Recruit Intake exercise. The exercise scheduled to hold from Monday 26th February till Friday March 9th will no longer hold till further notice The announcement was issued in a statement  by Colonel Aliyu Yusuf for the Director, Army Public Relations. The statement read “The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public particularly candidates for the 77 Regular Recruit Intake exercise earlier scheduled to hold nationwide from Monday 26 February – Friday 9 March 2018 that the exercise has been postponed till further notice. “A new date for the screening excercise will be communicated in due course through the media and the Nigerian Army Recruitment Portal (recruitment.army.mil.ng).”‎

Today, in Makurdi the Benue state capital was lockdown in a protest over Fulani herdsmen killings.  The governor,Samuel Ortom, who earlier visited the scene at the heat of protest was booed by youths and stones thrown at him, forcing his security operatives to escort him out of the venue thereby opening fire at two protesters. According to reports gathered by Queendoosh, after the governor left immediately some members of the Nigerian army and police were deployed to the scene were innocent protesters were teargassed and some allegedly killed in the process. PHOTOS Of Nigerian Soldier Kills Captain, Injuries 4, Commits Suicide

Silas Ninyo, a Nigerian sergeant soldier has killed his superior, and injured four residents in Chibok local government area of Borno state on Sunday, TheCable reports. Ninyo, who was said to be drunk, also took his own life after wreaking the havoc. TheCable while quoting source, said that a team of soldiers led by K. Mani, who was providing security for worshippers during Sunday service, received a distress call that Ninyo was beating civilians for unknown reasons. “Captain Mani, accompanied by soldiers, moved to the scene to free the civilian but while trying to disarm the errant soldier, Captain Mani was shot dead by Staff Sergeant Ninyo, who later killed himself,” a source said. The spokesman of the army, Sani Usman, described the deaths of the officer and the staff sergeant as a great loss to the army. Usman said a committee of inquiry had been set up to investigate the matter.

Nigerian Army has handed over 760 Boko Haram suspects arrested by soldiers during a crackdown on insurgents in North-East Nigeria to the Borno State Government for rehabilitation and reintegration. They were cleared of suspicion after being interrogated by the Joint Intelligence Centre of Operation Lafiya Dole, a statement by the Deputy Director of Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, said. Handing over the suspects, at the Borno State Rehabilitation Centre, Bulumkutu, the Coordinator of the JIC, Brigadier-General Abdulrahman Kuliya, said the crackdown on Boko Haram terrorists and their operational network has yielded positive results. This, according to him, includes marked reduction of the terrorist group’s activities in the North East.
