Police command in Kaduna state have arrested 2 deadly kidnappers operating within Jere/Katari Axis Of the Abuja-Kaduna highway and Jere-Kagarko road in Kaduna State. The dangerous kidnappers who have been on the Police’s wanted list are Adamu Lawan (30yrs old) and Aminu Lawan (25yrs old). They are both in custody as investigations continue.

Kidnappers are not finding it easy these days in Lagos as residents have taken laws into their hands to wipe out culprits. According to Premium Times,today Thursday, Lagosians invaded a suspected kidnappers' den in Ilezik area along the Oshodi-Ikeja highway and set the place ablaze.

Earlier today, the six students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, who were kidnapped on May 25th by unknown gunmen were released. The kidnappers of the students released them in Ajakpa Community in Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

A former chief press secretary to a onetime Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, David Ehimoni , has been kidnapped by some gunmen.

The Imo State Police Command today, displayed the body of notorious kidnap kingpin, Vampire, who was shot dead in the early hours of today during gun duel with police in Rivers State, and other members of his gang responsible for several kidnappings, armed robberies and murders in Imo State.

 German archaeologist, Prof. Peter Breunij, and his associate, Johannes Buringer, who were abducted in Jenjela village in Kagarko Local Government of Kaduna State, have demanded N60m as ransom.

Governor of Cross River state Prof Ben Ayade has announced that the sum of N1million will be given to anyone who can offer information leading to the arrest of kidnappers and armed robbers in the state. He made this announcement  on Tuesday at the Executive Council Chambers, Calabar, during a courtesy visit from the newly posted Commissioner of Police to the state, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa. The whistleblowing operation, which was named “Hafiz law”, according to Governor Ayade, reveals that anyone who blows the whistle on an armed robber or a kidnapper and by intelligence or investigation that armed robber or kidnapper is found to be true, that person is entitled to N1million. To avoid a situation whereby innocent citizens are accused and prosecuted, Ayade said that thorough investigation will be conducted and only after they have been proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt will they be prosecuted.
