TStv's Spokesman, Ernest Essien, on Friday said the firm's test transmission is almost completed and plans have been concluded to roll out its commercial decoders from next week. "We will display all the packages accordingly but the one we can assure now is that the price will not change, it remains n5,000. “We are trying to see how we can make simple and easy for every nigerian to be able to afford it. we have a surprise package for nigerians which we are not going to divulge now because we want to make it a surprise. “We are keeping our promises on the channels and all the channels including being sports channels are there with even more other channels that were not included in our bouquet before. “We have more better channels that are coming and the total number of channels will be over 70,’’ he said.

TSTV Africa has commence the distribution and installation of Decoders across Nigeria.  TSTV Management has stated that, Dealer accreditation is still on-going as the list is currently being populated.  Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of TStv, Mr. Bright Echefu, has explained the delay in the roll out of its decoders. Since its launch on the 1st of October, TStv decoders are yet to be on sale nationwide. According to Vanguard, Echefu said the firm is still putting things into place and by November the decoders will be available for sale. “We have not commenced commercial sales of our decoders because we are aware of the fact that we are running a business easily frustrated by competition. “We had applications from over 3,000 individuals who want to be our dealers, so far we have cleared about 750 of the dealers. We are currently conducting due diligence checks on our dealers. We do not want a situation where individuals posing as dealers buy up our decoders and go dump them somewhere.” He said within the next two weeks, the verification and full accreditation of dealers would be completed and the decoders would be rolled out.

Nigeria's newly launched satelight, TSTV Africa has denied rumour about  on going recruitment exercise been  circulated in an online publication. The organization in a release on Friday emphasised that TStv Africa has not authorized any recruitment exercise as being published. The statement reads: “The attention of TStv Africa has been drawn to an online publication about an ongoing recruitment exercise purportedly carried out by the organization. “We wish to state for purposes of emphasis and clarity, that TStv Africa has not authorized any recruitment exercise as being published. “Prior to the commencement of a recruitment exercise by TStv Africa, an official announcement will be made with respect to that on our official website and social media handles”.

Nigeria's newly launched satellite tv, TStv, is set to employ more than 5000 people following it launch on October 1st, the independence day of Nigeria, Vanguard reports. According to TStv Managing Director/CEO, Echefu Bright Ikechukwu has said that October 1 remains sacrosanct. “Our license has been issued by NBC and we are set for October 1st and will be giving out 5000 Free decoders on that day", he said, adding that Africa Health Television AHT gave birth to TSTV. “We’ve successfully ran African Health Television for more than 5 years without hitches. We have no doubts whatsoever that TSTV would offer an excellent and affordable digital satellite television services to Nigerians.” TSTV said the launch shall be kicked off with a Green carpet before the official broadcast begins at 5:30pm at Sheraton hotel.
