After almost a year of granting amnesty to the Benue most wanted militia, Terwase Akwaza alias ghana. The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom is full of regrets and has recognized the fact that he  made a mistake in granting amnesty to 'repentant' militant.

Its alleged that over 600 beneficiaries of the Benue State government amnesty programme have absconded. The programme in which over 800 ex-criminals enrolled demanded that they shunned their old ways and submitted their weapons in exchange for rehabilitation and a monthly stipend.
