The Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, has reacted to the arrest of suspected notorious killer herdsmen, Idi Gemun, Aliyu Teshaku and others by the Nigerian troops in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

Earlier this week, the Benue state civil servants took to several platform to complain on been underpaid by the government thus rejecting the new pay cut which was more than usual. According to  reports, some workers who were to collect 75k  were paid 21k and 100k received 50k and more, which was less than a even a quarter salary. 

The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom, has alleged that the immunity from prosecution enjoyed by the President and Vice-President as provide by the constitution, appears to be applicable to herdsmen and their cattle.

The governor of Benue State , Samuel Ortom, today at  government house disclosed that he was seeking God's leading on whether to contest for a second term in 2019 or not.

Benue State Government has commenced screening of 44,000 civil servants and local government employees for the modified table payment.

The training was organized by the Benue State Government in collaboration with Centre for Youths and Women Skills Acquisition (CYWSA).
