 Governor Nasir El-Rufai's Special Adviser on political affairs, Malam Uba Sani has threatened to sue the senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial zone, Senator Shehu Sani for libel. Uba Sani stated that the name of the suspect the lawmaker said he was allegedly sponsoring was “fake”. The aide was reacting to a publication in a newspaper during the week. He said through in counsel:  “The newspaper report was built around a suspicious police First Information Report (FIR) and we have every reason to believe it was a smokescreen, politically-motivated and designed to dent the image of our client and his Political ambition. “Consequently, we will file a suit in court to demand compensation for the false, malicious and politically-motivated media attack sponsored by Senator Shehu Sani against our client. “We are all too familiar with the Senator’s antecedents and now is the time to apply the law to bring an end to his dirty antics”.

 Nigerian Senate on Thursday rejected the request of Governor Nasiru El-Rufai to secure a 350 million dollar World Bank loan for Kaduna State. The senators rejected the request on the premise that obtaining the loan may put so much pressure on the management of the state which presently has a debt burden of $232.1 million.   The Senate took the stand after accepting the recommendations of its Committee on Local and Foreign Debt and contributions by all the three Senators from the state, who declined support to the loan request. The Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has disagreed with comments made by former worlds richest man  concefnung President Buhari's Economic plan. According to The Cable, El-Rufai says it is incorrect to say the execution process of the economic and recovery growth plan (ERGP) does not truly reflect the needs of Nigerians. He said this in response to a statement made by Bill Gates at the expanded national economic council presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo. “The Nigerian government’s economic recovery and growth plan identify investing in our people as one of three strategic objectives. But the execution priorities don’t fully reflect people’s needs, prioritising physical capital over human capital,” Gates had said. He said this priority would lead to a “sharp limit on how much the country can grow”. Governor El-rufai To Conduct Competency Test For Secondary School Teachers in the state

The Kaduna state government says it is planning on conducting a competency test for secondary school teachers in the state after conducting for primary school teachers. It could be recall that over 21, 000 primary school teachers in the state failed the primary 4 set of questions given to them during their competency test conducted.  Governor Nasir El-Rufai via his official twitter handle, revealed that a competency test for secondary school teachers is underway. He also revealed that the state government has decided to pay urban teachers twenty seven and half percent higher than average civil servants and rural teachers thirty two and half percent higher to attract the best.

The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed how some of the teachers that passed the competency test organised by the state government, brought in people to write the test on their behalf. The governor on his official Facebook page, governor El-Rufai said the discovery was made when the teachers that ''passed' were asked to write an acceptance letter. ''Some of the new teachers we tried to recruit tried to game the system. We gave those that passed letters of appointments and a plain sheet of paper to write a simple letter of acceptance. The crisis in Kaduna State has taken new twist as Governor El-Rufai  demolishes the APC factional party secretariat led by Senator Suleman Hunkuyi this morning .  According to him, the building contravenes the Kaduna "Master Plan".  This is coming a day after the factional group of the ruling party suspended the governor for six months over anti-party activities. Although, another factional group loyal to the governor declared that his suspension was illegal.

Yesterday, a faction of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State suspended the Kaduna state Gover over anti-party activities for six months. Well today, another faction loyal to Governor  Nasir el-Rufai, on Monday overturned the six-month suspension order slammed on him by a faction of the party ,PUNCH reports. Earlier this week the social media was thrown into confusion following the story of a JAMB official alleging the money left in her care was swallowed by a big snake.Lol.  Well, the Staff of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, were on Tuesday morning surprised when the senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, stormed their office with anti-snake venom and snake charmers to maybe assist in finding the snake. JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, went into rounds of laughter when the lawmaker presented him with two packs of anti-snake venom and offered the services of two snake charmers to fish out snakes that swallowed huge amount of money. The exams board said it suspended the staff, Philomena Chieshe, at its Makurdi office following the bizarre claim. The plan to recall the senator was announced in a statement signed on behalf of the group by Aliyu Saidu Rigachikun, who claimed to have been the Deputy Director-General of Mr. Sani’s senatorial campaign in 2015.

A Popular politician and businessman from Sanga Local Government area of Kaduna State, Mr Moses Banka, was on Wednesday night assassinated by unknown gunmen. Banka was reportedly killed at Ankwa village of Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna State. The Administrator of Jema’a Local Government Council,Alhaji Yusuf Usman, who confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that the deceased was assassinated on Wednesday night at his residence in Ankwa village in Godogodo Chiefdom of Jema’a. Usman said, “The assassins stormed the residence and headed straight to his room and shot at him without hurting anyone before they left.” “Before his death, he was also an active farmer and owned an irrigation farm at Dogon Daji Reserve close to Godogodo where he farmed hectares of soya beans,’’ the administrator said. There was tension in Arak in Kaduna state in the early hours of new year following attack of unknown gunmen which left a chief and his wife getting killed in the process. Etum Numana, Mr. Gambo Makama was murdered alongside his pregnant wife,in Arak, a village in Sanga local government area of Kaduna state, Nigerian Bulletin says. The attackers were said to have stormed his house in the early hours of the New Year. Makama, who was one of the second class traditional rulers in the Southern Senatorial district of Kaduna had travelled from his palace in Gwantu, to his village, Arak, to celebrate the New Year with his second wife when the incident happened. A source in Arak said the gunmen who covered their faces with masks entered the house and began shooting, killing him and his wife while wounding his other son who was close by. Gov.El-Rufai Sacks 4,042 Workers In Kaduna State

Alhaji Jafaru Sani, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the state government has sacked 4,042 local government staff in the state's 23 LGAs. 3,159 sacked staff had put in 10 years and were retired while the remaining 893 had their jobs terminated. He said exercise was part of the ongoing restructuring of the local government system for effective service delivery. The Permanent Secretary, Local Government Commission, Mr Mahmud Zailani, corroborated this, saying the restructuring was part of Gov. Nasir El-Rufai’s campaign promise to strengthen public service.

El-Rufai, Police Ordered To Pay Audu Maikori N40m Over Unlawful Arrest

Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday ordered Kaduna State Governor, El-rufai to pay the sum of N40m to the President of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, as compensation for his unlawful arrest. The court also awarded N10m exemplary damages, with 10% interest in favour of Audu Maikori Delivering judgement in the fundamental human rights enforcement suit filed by Maikori on May 5, 2017, Justice John Tsoho ordered the four respondents including, Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, and the police to pay the damages to the applicant. The other respondents to the suit are the Inspector-General of Police and the Attorney-General of Kaduna State. The court also held that civic space should not be constricted and Governor of Kaduna cannot arrest Audu for lawful advocacy Maikori according to the ruling was said to have been unlawfully detained between February 17 and 18, 2017 and again March 10 and 13, 2017.
