US General,Marcus Hicks Says Boko Haram is the most lethal terror group in the world

The Commander of the United States’ Special Operations Command Africa ,Maj. Gen. Marcus Hicks, has described Boko Haram as the most lethal terror organisation in the world despite claims by the federal government that the extremist group had been significantly degraded and technically defeated.   The issue of Boko Haram’s power came up at a press briefing held in the US during the week on anti-terror efforts of the US government and made available to Thisday by the US embassy. Nigerian Army Captain , Suleiman Muhammed Killed In Zamfara state [PHOTOS]

Nigerian admy have oncw again lost one of it gallant officer in the war front. According to reports, two soldiers including a captain and several armed bandits were killed in a fierce gun battle in Bawar Daji village in Anka local government area of Zamfara state. Amongs those killed is one of the soldiers identified as Captain Suleiman Muhammed. It was gathered that the troops deployed to the village engaged the armed bandits in a fierce gun duel resulting to the death of two soldiers. Chairman of the LG Alhaji Mustapha Gado told Daily Trust on Wednesday, that the corpses of the soldiers were brought to Anka town and then moved to Gusau the state capital adding that the fight continued. "The commander of the troops was in Anka today from the Bawar Daji village, he came for reinforcement and a good number of military vehicles moved in to the battle field to reinforce those already there," he said. President Buhari Approves $1bn For Procurement Of Security Equipments To Fight Boko Haram

Nigerian President , Muhammadu Buhari has approved the release of $1 billion for the procurement of security equipment to be used in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists. Daily Post reports that the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, who disclosed this at the end of the national security council meeting presided over by President Buhari, said the meeting was to review the security situation in the country. “I can inform you that of recent, our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, gave approval for the purchase of more equipment for the military, worth $1 billion,” he said. Aside Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, all other governors gave the federal government go ahead to withdraw the money from the excess crude account.  Fayose had said Ekiti’s share of the money should be released for the fight against “Hunger Haram”, arguing that the $1 billion would be used for the reelection of Buhari. Following the release of other girls exclusion of her daughter, Mrs Rebecca Sharibu, the mother of the Christian Dapchi Girl, has appealed to the Federal government to do everything it can to ensure the fast release of her daughter, Leah Sharibu, from Boko Haram captivity. The sect members held on to Leah after she refused to denounce her Christian faith. Leah's mother who spoke with The Nation said her daughter sent a message to her that her family should pray for the will of God to be done in her life. Mrs Sharibu went into coma after her daughter and the remaining 109 girls were kidnapped by the sect members on February 19th. Kenyan Police Foils Terror Attack In The Country.. Gives Chilling Details!

 Inspector General of Police in Kenya,  Joseph Boinnet, on Wednesday, revealed chilling details of the recent foiled terror attack, which is said to be one of the most successful arrests in recent times. The terror suspects arrested in Isiolo last month, one of whom had booked a hotel room for almost a week near the Central Police Station, were targeting the Judiciary buildings and a government installation. Mr Boinnet said that the vehicle with registration number KBM 200D that was seized from the suspects in Merti, Isiolo County, was laden with approximately 80kg of high-grade Trinitrotoluene (TNT) explosives. The police boss revealed that the vehicle, which would have been used as a Suicide Vehicle Bound Explosive Device (SVBIED), was set to be driven to Nairobi and would have killed hundreds of innocent civilians. JUST IN: Boko Haram Members Hijacks Passenger Bus , Kidnap 8 People In Oyo State

Some gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday hijacked a passenger bus and kidnapped about 8 indigenes of Igboho and Ogboro towns along Igboho-Igbeti road in Oyo state, Daily Post reports. The suspects blocked the road and reportedly abducted the eight passengers in the bus. He added that the armed men emerged from a bush at the Old Oyo National Park and blocked the bus. The source confirmed that the kidnappers ordered the occupants of the bus including the driver to alight and board another vehicle they had already parked by the roadside. He said that they were held hostage in the bush for some minutes before they were taken to an unknown destination. Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu who confirmed the abduction, however, said that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude had deployed his men to the area to search for the kidnapped victims, rescue them and arrest the kidnappers.

Yesterday, the islamic sect, Boko Haram attacked a military installation in Rann, Borno State killing some persons in the process.  However, United States (US) and others, yesterday, condemned the killing of three Nigerian aid workers in a Boko Haram attack.
