,Uchenna Okeagwu, during the trial of billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, told the Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja, how he paid the kidnap kingpin the sum of £223,000 as ransom for the release of his boss, Donatus Duru. 

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced special promotions for 45 officers who participated in the successful arrest of notorious kidnap kingpin, Evans. The development came barely a year after Evans was arrested in Lagos alongside over 20 suspected members of his gang. A statement by Ikechukwu Ani, a spokesperson for the PSC, said the promotions were ratified today at a plenary presided over by Mike Okiro, chairman of the commission. Thirteen of the officers were promoted in acting capacity because they weren’t eligible for substantive promotion, the PSC said. A Lagos State High Court sitring in Ikeja on Wednesday continued the trial of deadly Nigerian Billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans. According to Dailypost, the prosecution played a video which captured Evans confessing to kidnapping and armed robbery. The State Director of Public Prosecution, Ms Titilayo Shitta-Bey, who led the prosecution, demanded that the video clip be played. In the video the kidnap kingpin was fielding questions from a police investigative officer, Inspector Idowu Haruna. The video was played in the course of Haruna’s testimony in the case on Wednesday. According to reports, the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) under the watch of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abba Kyari  was killed by the weekend.  A federal court in Lagos , today adjourned the case of kidnapper Kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans till September 5.

A Lagos Federal High Court Judge, Justice Abdulaziz Anka, on Wednesday ordered that the fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans against the Nigeria Police Force will proceed.

Kidnap kingpins richer than Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans have been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.
