The wife of Nigeria's senate president Bukola Saraki, Toyin Saraki, took to her IG page to share photos of  their twins to celebrate them as they turn 18 yesterday May 12th. She wrote;

The Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has said that the National Assembly will ensure that the 2018 budget be passed next week. The senate president disclosed this to state house correspondents after his visit to President Buhari yesterday May 7th. In the same vein, the House of Representatives says it will pass the 2018 budget before the end of next week.  The House Committee Chairman on Media and Public Affairs made the statement while briefing journalists at the end of Thursday’s plenary. According to him, the budget will be laid before the house on Tuesday next week,according to LIB.

Nigeria's anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has commenced “necessary action” on a petition against Bamikole Omishore, the Special Adviser on International Relations to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his wife, Abiola Aiyegbayo-Omishore, over alleged ghost worker scam. The development was confirmed to Punch by spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren. Uwujaren said, “I can confirm that the petition is before the commission and receiving necessary attention.” Documents submitted to the EFCC revealed that Omishore, who has been working with the Senate President since 2015, allegedly listed his wife as a grade level 12 employee of the National Assembly, though she is a nurse in the United States. The petition, signed by Abba El-Mustapha on behalf of Youths United against Corruption in Nigeria, claimed that Omishore’s wife had been collecting salaries to the tune of N150,000 for nearly three years through her Guaranty Trust Bank account 014...

Following appeal by the Senate president, Bukola Saraki asking court to stop his case at the CCT trial. The Supreme court has slated July 6 as date for delivering judgment in the appeal challenging the ruling of the Court of Appeal which asked the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to try him on three of the 18 counts brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Daily post reports. The apex court fixed the date on Thursday in Abuja after hearing the appeal and cross-appeal filed by the Senate President and the anti-graft agency over allegations of false asset declaration. Senator Saraki is contending that there is no prima facia case against him and as such, the apex court should uphold his no case submission which was upheld by the CCT. On Wednesday, Nigeria's Senate President, Bukola Saraki promised that he was going to ensure that a greater number of women are given the opportunity to vie and occupy elective offices during the 2019 general elections. The Senare president revealed this through his Chief Press Secretary, Sanni Onogu, at the Conference of Nigeria Female Parliamentarians after they  paid him a courtesy visit at the National Assembly in Abuja. He lamented that the present statistics of women in governance in the country was not encouraging and said that going into the 2019 elections, something must be done to change the tide. Nigeria's Senate President, Bukola Saraki has dismissed report that he will contest the 2019 presidential elections. Speaking through his Special adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuf Olaniyonun, the senate President described the rumour as false. In a chat with Independent, Olaniyonun said “the report is false. If it is true that he is contesting, you would have seen the report it in major dailies since last week Saturday when the news broke out on social media.
