Controversial Kenyan socialite/ex BBA housemate,Huddah Monroe,revealed on her social media handle that a lot of women married to black men are unhappy. She also insisted that marriage to a black man can be equated with modern day slavery. 

According to reports, Kenyan authorities have banned a film that tells the love story of two women on the grounds that it promotes lesbianism. “Rafiki”, a word that means friend in KiSwahili, was this week invited to premiere at the May Cannes Film festival the first Kenyan film to receive such an invite.  The Kenya Film Classification Board announced the ban on Friday and said in a tweet: “Anyone found in its possession will be in breach of law”, referring to a colonial-era Kenyan law under which gay s*x is punishable by 14 years in jail. No fewer than 22 workers of the Kenya Airways which are Nigerians have been sacked.  According to a report by Punch, only four Nigerian staff are currently retained by the management of the airline after the exercise.  Those retained are Country Manager, Afeez Balogun, the Station Manager, and two other staff.   The report also states “the sacked staff were issued the disengagement letters at the airline’s office in Lagos in the presence of stern-looking police officers who were engaged by the airline to scare away the affected staff and prevent possible breakdown of law and order”.  The source also said that the “affected staff were only given four weeks wages on disengagement by the management”.   And that the abrupt sack of the Nigerian workers “happened when the airline was still negotiating a new condition of service with the industry unions.

 Inspector General of Police in Kenya,  Joseph Boinnet, on Wednesday, revealed chilling details of the recent foiled terror attack, which is said to be one of the most successful arrests in recent times. The terror suspects arrested in Isiolo last month, one of whom had booked a hotel room for almost a week near the Central Police Station, were targeting the Judiciary buildings and a government installation. Mr Boinnet said that the vehicle with registration number KBM 200D that was seized from the suspects in Merti, Isiolo County, was laden with approximately 80kg of high-grade Trinitrotoluene (TNT) explosives. The police boss revealed that the vehicle, which would have been used as a Suicide Vehicle Bound Explosive Device (SVBIED), was set to be driven to Nairobi and would have killed hundreds of innocent civilians. Christ Pilgrim Restoration Centre, Kenya pastor,Rev. Vincent Mulwa,  has come out to challenge the Christian doctrine that men should only marry one wife. In an interview with Kenya's The Daily Nation, Rev. Mulwa says Africans bought the world views of European missionaries who brought Christianity into Africa and abandoned polygamy, a practice that was rife even among the people who lived during biblical times. Rev Mulwa said he wants Christian leaders to review teachings on monogamous marriages, claiming there is no verse in the Bible supporting it. Renowned world's leading investigators of the illegal trade in ivory and rhino horn has been killed in Kenya.  Esmond Bradley Martin, 75, was found in his Nairobi home on Sunday with a stab wound to his neck.   The former UN special envoy for rhino conservation was known for his undercover work investigating the black market. The US citizen had recently returned from a research trip to Myanmar. Bradley Martin was in the process of writing up his findings when he died, reports the BBC's Alastair Leithead from Nairobi.  His wife found him in their house in Langata. A 23-year-old welder in Thika East, Kiambu County, Kenya committed suicide after killing his 27-year-old girlfriend following a disagreement on Saturday, January 27. Timothy Ndirangu, a married man and father of two, allegedly strangled Grace Wanjiru after three months of a turbulent relationship. A caretaker, who was cleaning the houses, which Wanjiru and Ndirangu lived in discovered the bodies of the two, when a strong stench of decomposing bodies emanated from the pair’s one-roomed house. Wanjiru’s body was lying on the bed, while Ndirangu’s body was dangling on a rope tied to the eaves of the house. The caretaker screamed, attracting neighbours’ attention to the scene. There's pandemonium in Kenya following declaration of opposition leader, Raila Odinga as the authentic president of the country. According to BBC News, thousands of his supporters attended the event, despite a government warning that it amounted to treason. The authorities shut down TV stations to prevent live coverage of the event. President Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn in for a second term last November. He won an election re-run in October, but Mr Odinga boycotted it. Elections were first held in August but the courts ordered a re-run, saying Mr Kenyatta's victory was marred by irregularities. Holding a Bible in his right hand at a park in Nairobi, Mr Odinga declared that he was answering to a "high[er] calling to assume the office of the people's president of the Republic of Kenya". In an interview with online gossip magazine, Shilawadu, the woman says she met Diamond and became friends in 2011 while he was in Eldoret for a concert. She says their relationship grew through social media where they used to chat all the time while the musician was in Tanzania and she in Kenya. On Tuesday, Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn in for a second term as president of Kenya, after wunning a second term. Kenyatta, 56, took two oaths of office as his second five-year term was sealed by the signature of Chief Justice David Maraga. An election victory in August was overturned by the Supreme Court, forcing him to face a re-run that was boycotted by the opposition.

Wildlife photographer recently reported seeing two male lions mate in a Kenyan safari, and a government official claimed the two must have “copied” gay men visiting the park.  According to head of the Kenyan Film Classification Board, Ezekeil Mutua reacted via tweet and wrote; “Probably they have been influenced by gays who have gone to the national parks and behaved badly,” “I don’t know, they must have copied it somewhere or it is demonic. Because these animals do not watch movies.” Mutua insisted the “lion love birds” seen in Masai Mara needed counseling. He also suggested they be studied, if only to confirm they were both indeed male. “I mean, where on Earth have you ever heard something like this happening. The private helicopter of Kenyan's President ,Uhuru Kenyatta has crashed into Lake Nakuru Saturday morning after reports that it had technical hitch. The plane, according to kahawatungu.com, with tail number 5Y-NMJ and Aérospatiale 350B3e Ecureuil model was reportedly flying a team of political staff close to Nakuru senator Susan Kihika to Narok. Among those on board are said to be one Sam Gitau, Anthony Ngari and the pilot, Apollo Malowa. It is not clear if there are any survivors from the crash but police and military helicopters have rushed to the scene to rescue any survivors.
