Sen.Shehu Sani Agrees That Allegations Of Herdsmen Being Pampered Is Not Far From The Truth

Image
Outspoken Kaduna state Senator, Shehu Sani has agreed on the allegations that herdsmen carrying out various attacks in many parts in Nigeria, were being protected and pampered.  Sani said this when he appeared on Channels TV. He called for a decisive action to be taken on the spate of attacks being carried out by the herdsmen. ''There are insinuations that the herdsmen are protected, paid and pampered. These are not very far from the truth because if the way we have dealt with insurgent groups like Boko Haram and the way we are very fierce on other ethnic militia, we would also stand up to these herdsmen, that should be very clear'' he said. He added that the herdsmen attack is not a ethnic crisis as  states that are presumed to have Fulanis in them have also been attacked by the herdsmen. Watch the video below...

Benue Born Activist Blast Prof. Umar Labdo Muhammad Over Comment That 'BENUE STATE BELONGS TO THE FULANI BY RIGHT OF CONQUEST'

Image
Earlier today ,the social media was thrown into confusion over comment made by one Professor Umar Labdo Muhammad. where he stated that, 'BENUE STATE BELONGS TO THE FULANI BY RIGHT OF CONQUEST'.  He wrote; Benue State belongs to the Fulani people by right of conquest. This is because half of the state is part of the Bauchi Emirate and the other half is part of the Adamawa Emirate. Benue is therefore part and parcel of the Sokoto Caliphate. So no one has the right to expel the Fulani from Benue under any guise. Second to the Arabs, perhaps the Fulani are the most benevolent and merciful conquerors in history. If they had applied the Nazi final solution to the natives, or if they had treated them the same way the European settlers treated Red Indians in North America or the Aborigines in Australia, the story would have been different toady. The Fulani are the largest single nation in West Africa and, perhaps, on the whole continent and they have remained unbeatable through...

More Trouble For Benue And Taraba As Fulani Herdsmen Threaten Legal Action Over Anti-Grazing Laws

Image
Leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, over the weekend, threatened legal action to challenge the anti-open grazing laws in Benue and Taraba states. The group described the anti-open grazing laws in both states as obnoxious and capable of engendering anarchy in the areas. MACBAN’s National President, Alhaji Mohammed Zuru, stated this during the launch of an animal identification and management solution scheme by the Katsina Government in collaboration with mobile network provider, MTN. According to him, “the Nigerian State must recognise that Fulani pastoralists exist and have rights to the nation’s shared resources. We must be allocated land to do our cattle grazing and settle our families, change the breed of cattle we need and improve on the technology of cattle rearing. “My association views the current attempt by the Benue and Taraba states’ governments to criminalise our means of economic livelihood of cattle rearing through the ...

Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom on Tuesday met with Nigerian President ,Muhammadu Buhari to brief him on the alleged threat by the Fulani sociocultursl Association Miyatti Allah Kauta, (MAYTTI) over the anti-grazing law which is expected to take effect from next month. "Miyetti Allah has taken us to court and we:re there with them. But I don't see how they'll come and over run Benue and make it ungovernable, it's not going to be accepted. We stand by what we've done, we've done our legitimate as government and citizens of the state. So, we don't see how somebody will sit somewhere and say we should not implement a law that has restored peace in our place. "I've directed the security men to arrest those people. I'm calling for the arrest of the leadership of Meyetti Allah to be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent. We've, for a long time, celebrated impunity in this country, we cannot continue like that. "If they come out w...
