90-year-old billionaire, businessman and Islamic scholar, Isyaku Rabiu, has died.  According to reports the Kano state based cleric passed away after a brief illness in the United Kingdom.

According to twitter user @hadijyy, who reported it he says both married and single had drugs in their possession.  

Son of the late Emir of Kano,  Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Ado Bayero ,Prince Salisu Bayero, who recently got married to the lady right was married to the beautiful first wife left in October 2015 and have a son together.  The recent marriage has got people asking if it was not too recent to take a second wife.. According to reports, operatives of the Department of Security Service (DSS) have arrested a retired military officer for an alleged attempt to create a political crisis in Kano State.

Former Governor of Kano state and a serving Senator , Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso representing Kano Central in the Senate has vowed to retire Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from active politics come 2019 general elections. In an audio voice message aired on a private radio station in Kano (Express FM) on Wednesday, Senator Kwankwaso declared that no amount of persuasion would make him change his mind over the stance to remove Ganduje. He said the level of betrayal meted to him by the Governor was enough yardsticks to stage a comeback into Kano politics and unseat Ganduje from Government House. Senator Kwankwaso also boasted of dealing and retiring, from politics, “those who have any link to the Governor from any quarters within the Country, even if that person is in Abuja” (an apparent reference to Buhari). The Senator representing Kano Central District, Rabiu Kwankwaso has spoken on his reported secret meeting with former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

The governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, has again called on all Fulani herdsmen resident in other parts of the country to move to his state. 

Yesterday, 22 shops at Yankatako market in Kano were in the early hiurs of morning gutted by fire, Daily post Reports. The Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, told newsmen that the incident happened around 3.10 a.m. Mohammed said  “We received a distress call early hours of today (Wednesday) from one Muhammed Yahaya from Kurna division at about 3.10 a.m that, there was fire outbreak at the market. ”On receiving the information, we quickly sent some of our personnel and fire fighting vehicle to the scene of the incident at about 3.14 a.m to quench the fire.” Mohammed said the cause of the fire was under investigation. He advised traders at the market and other residents to be more careful and desist from using instruments capable of triggering fire as a way of guarding against future occurrence. The executive governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, has promised to give five million votes to President Muhammadu Buhari should incase he decides to contests the 2019 election. The governor made the promise when he spoke at the swearing-in ceremony of 44 new local government council chairmen and 484 councillors on Monday night. “The overall number of votes scored by the APC candidates is more than what President Buhari scored in 2015 general election, that is to say that if eventually he agreed to contest 2019 general election, I assured you, we will give him five million votes. We have seen in this election was a clear indication that Kano is APC and ready to contribute to its success any time.” Although, the election has come under serious criticism following the photos of underaged which was shared online.

The rivalry between Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje  and the immediate passed governor of Kano state, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso is far from been over as the governor has reinstate that there will be no reconciliation between his political pressure group, Gandujiyya and Kwankwasiyya.

Following the continuous fight between the Fulani herdsmen and farmers across Nigeria. The Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje yesterday called on all Fulani herdsmen resident in other parts of the country, especially Benue and Taraba States, to relocate to Kano since the state has vast grazing land to accommodate them and their cattle, ThisDayLive reports. Ganduje, who stated this while inspecting the vaccination of over one million cattle and other small animals free-of-charge at the Kadawa artificial insemination centre in Garum Malam Local Government Area of the state, as part of activities to mark the 2017/2018 livestock vaccination programme, condemned the recent killings arising from clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the country, describing it as unacceptable. Nigeria's President, Muhammadu  Buhari has arrived Kano state for a 2-day visit. The president was received by the state governor, Abdullahi Danguje, Ministers, state government officials  who were all in 'asoebi'  and others. Upon his arrival, he inspected a guard of honor. He is expected to commission a number of projects that has been completed by the state government.
