One Mr Christopher Okadigbo (52 years)have been arrested by Anambra State Police command for allegedly killing his mother, Mrs Roseline Okadigbo for money ritual.

Ex Anambra Chief Judge, Justice Jideofor Okoli Is Dead

Justice Chuka Jideofor Okoli , popularly known as Oke Osisi who is a former Chief Judge of Anambra State has died. Okoli, who hails from Otolo Nnewi in the state was reported dead by a close relative who concealed the reason for his demise while he spoke to newsmen in Awka. He said; “Justice Okoli passed away in the early hours of Easter Sunday. “He remains an icon in the annals of the judiciary in Nigeria. He was incorruptible during his time as the Chief Judge of Anambra State.”

Lifeless Body Of 27-year-old Nigerian Man Shot Dead By South African Police [PHOTOS]

Ebuka Okori,27, who hails from Umunze Orumba LGA, Anambra State was reportedly shot dead on Friday by the South African police at about 2am,  January 19, at No 30 Campbell street berea, Durban, Kwazulu -Natal. The decease brother whom he lived with, said two SAPS men on plain clothes came to their house and broke into the deceased bedroom, demanding for money which he refused. He was handcuffed behind and shot dead. They took away his phone, e-passport and other valuable documents. Fortunately, the brother managed to escaped and called for help. Metro Police around the vicinity swiftly intervened. Although they could not arrest the culprits, they were able to pick the number plate of their vehicle. Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari has commended the people of Anambra State, the governorship candidates, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, election observers as well as security agencies on the peaceful conduct of the November 18 gubernatorial election in the state. According to the president, “the processes leading to the election and its peaceful conduct and outcome, have shown that our electoral reform is bearing positive fruits. Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared incumbent Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, as the winner of the state governorship election that held yesterday November 18th. He pulled a total of 195, 256 votes to beat his close rival, APC's Tony Nwoye who pulled a total of 79, 885. PDP's Oseloka Obaze, pulled 60, 967 votes to come third. Emeka (Jr), the son of late Dim Chukwuemka Odumegwu Ojukwu has defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC. His defection came at a rally held by the APC in Anambra state for the upcoming governorship elections in Anambra state. President Muhammadu Buhari was at the rally. Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has declared November 17, 2017, as a work-free day to enable civil servants in the state to relocate to their electoral wards to be able to participate in the governorship polls on the 18th. The governor announced this when he addressed civil servants during the 2017 African Public Service Day at Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka, and also used the occasion to solicit for support for the election. Billionaire oil magnate and Capital Oil director, Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah has formally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. Ubah also declared his support for Governor of Anambra state and candidate of APGA in the November 18 governorship election, Willie Obiano. Recall that the National Working committee of the PDP had in September suspended Ubah for anti-party activities. Ubah, in a statement issued on Saturday, explained that his decision to join APGA was due to the “unfair and callous treatment meted out on me.”
