The death of anti-apartheid icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, aged 81, whose demise threw South Africans and people around the world into mourning will be given a state funeral that will be held in two weeks’ time. Hundreds of red-clad supporters of the radical opposition Economic Freedom Fighters marched to Madikizela-Mandela’s home in the Johannesburg township of Soweto to pay homage to “the mother of the nation”, television footage showed.  Winnie Madikizela-Mandela , the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela and apartheid icon has died at age 81. Winnie, 81, who was married to Nelson when he was imprisoned on Robben Island, passed away on Monday. “She died after a long illness, for which she had been in and out of hospital since the start of the year,” Victor Dlamini, family spokesman said in a statement. He added:  “She succumbed peacefully in the early hours of Monday afternoon surrounded by her family and loved ones.” The news comes less than three months after the South African anti-apartheid campaigner was rushed to hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, with a kidney infection. Viola Desmond who has been a black human rights activist has bee honoured in a big, as Canada’s new $10 bill now features her as one of the country’s civil rights activists. Desmond is popular for refusing to leave a "white-only" section of a theater on Nov. 8, 1946 - a decade before Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus. Over 70 years after, Desmond was honored last week as the first Black person and the first non-Royal woman ever to be featured alone on Canadian currency. Billionaire Business-woman and media mogul, Oprah Winfrey says she never had children because she doesn’t have motherly instincts.   The 64-year-old opened up about her decision not to have children during a sit down with Gwyneth Paltrow‘s first episode of “The Goop” podcast. Oprah told Paltrow she could never have raised two babies like Paltrow has done because raising babies would have been too frustrating. “I don’t think I would have been a good mother for baby children, because I need you to talk to me, and I need you to tell me what’s wrong,” she said. “I can’t just figure it out. John Lennon's motobike which he used as a "fun way" to get around his Berkshire estate, near the border with Runnymede, has been placed on auction for sale according to Get Surrey . Lennon, who died in New York in 1980, lived in Tittenhurst Park between 1969, the year he left the Beatles, and 1971. Lennon's Honda Monkey-Trail Z50A bike is set to be sold at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, West Midlands, on March 4. According to auctioneer H&M Classics, it is estimated to go for more than £30,000. Popular news website, Newsweek has come under serious criticisms following rare photos of Martin Luther King's corpse in his casket. Amongst those calling the news network out are Martin Luther King's daughter, Bernice King and DJ Paul. Bernice King called Newsweek out via a tweet while DJ Paul condemned their action during an interview. TMZ met with DJ Paul at LAX, and asked him about Newsweek's controversial tweet with a photo of MLK's corpse which was attached to an op-ed story about MLK. Paul believes the magazine is guilty of what might be the worst-timed clickbait ever -- with the MLK holiday coming next week, and the 50th anniversary of his assassination approaching in April.
