By Timothy Hembaor Mr. Stephen Nyitse who sat On The Throne of the Tor Tiv minutes before Coronation has been banished in Tiv land by The Tiv Traditional Council, for butchery of the consecrated Tor Tiv Stool. Tor Kwande, HRH Chief Ambrose Pinne Iyortyer who announced the banishment on behalf of the Tiv Traditional Council said the punishment is with immediate effect.

A certain Stephen Nyitse caused a stir at the JS Tarka Stadium in Gboko as he walked up to the stage and sat on the throne prepared for the Tor Tiv before the paramount ruler even arrived at the venue DailyTrust reports.

Today, the Tiv nation and fouth largest ethnic group in Nigeria gathered at Gboko the head quarter of the entire Tiv nation to witness the occasion of the coronation of the fifth Tiv Paramount Ruler, HRM Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse.
