Udeme Odibi, a lawyer who allegedly stabbed her husband to death has been sent to prison by a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday, Daily post reports.

Lagos police command have established a case of premeditated murder against the 47-year-old lawyer, Mrs Udeme Odibi, who allegedly stabbed her husband to death in Lekki area of Lagos.

 Lagos state police command is currently investigating a murder-attempted suicide case that took place at Diamond Estate in Ogombo, Ajah area of the state earlier today May 3rd. A statement by the state police command public relations officer, SP Chike Oti, says 47-year old lawyer, Mrs Udeme Otike had a fight with her husband, 50-year-old Odibe Otike. She stabbed and ripped his stomach open exposing the intestine and then severed his genital and placed it on his right hand. She then attempted to take her own life but she was rescued by neighbors and rushed to the hospital for treatment.  According to one of the neighbors, the couple, both of whom are lawyers, got married three years ago after the deceased divorced his first wife. The first marriage produced a daughter currently schooling in the UK. However the current marriage is yet to have produced a child. A student of the  Mangosuthu University of Technology,  Zolile Khumalo,21,was  in the early hours of Wednesday, shot dead by her boyfriend, inside her hostel room.  The ex boyfriend who is also a former student of the school, shot her dead after she called off their relationship. He shot her in front of her roommate. According to reports, the ex-boyfriend gained access into her hostel by signing in using his friends name. Once he gained access, he asked his friend to go and knock on her door on his behalf. As soon as she opened the door, they got into an argument that ended up with him shooting her in front of a roommate. The boyfriend has since been arrested and would soon be charged to court. The school authority has released a statement reacting to the gruesome murder of one of its students.

A Johannesburg High Court has found Sandile Mantsoe guilty of killing his former girlfriend, Karabo Mokoena. Sandile Mantsoe was accused of killing his 22-year-old girlfriend, Mokoena, last year. He also tried to hide the crime by burning her body and dumping it in a veld in Lyndhurst. In a statement read out in court previously, Mantsoe claimed Mokoena used to beat him up and that she became angry and depressed after she was raped by the friend of a former lover. He also alleged that Mokoena used to cut herself and that her sister had witnessed this. Mantsoe, a married father of three, had reportedly been in a romantic relationship with Mokoena since October 2016. It is believed that he and his wife were estranged. Rage driven Argentine woman,by name Brenda Barattini, has allegedly cut off her boyfriend’s pen!s with gardening scissors saying she was provoked because he showed his friends their homemade s*x tape. Lagos state government has release a press statement on forensic evidence which they claim have shown that 53 year old Danish man, Peter Nielsen, killed his wife, Zainab aka Alizee and their three year old daughter, Petra.  In the press statement released by the Lagos state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem, says all is set for Nielsen's prosecution. The Attorney General added that a prema facie case (evidence) of murder had already been established against the suspect contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, adding that he would be prosecuted at the High Court of Lagos State for the crime. Yesterday, the first prosecution witness in the trial of Maryam Sanda over the alleged murder of her husband, Bilyamin Bello gave evidence in court. According to Daily post, the witness revealed that Maryam Sanda had earlier threatened to cut her husband’s pen!s. Lagst state Police have said that the report of a post-mortem examination conducted on the late Nigerian singer, Zainab Nielsen, aka, Alizee, shows she died from trauma. Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, at a press briefing on Monday said the trauma emanated from the injuries inflicted on her head. Zainab and her three-year-old daughter, Petra, were allegedly murdered on April 5 by the singer’s Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, in their residence at Bellavista Towers, Banana Island, Ikoyi. Peter, 53, was arrested and subsequently arraigned on two counts of murder last Thursday at a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court. A police prosecutor, CSP Effiong Asuquo, had told the court, while tendering a remand application, that Peter hit his wife’s head on the wall, noting that she died from the injuries she sustained. 53-year-old, Peter Nielsen, who allegedly killed his wife, Zainab, and her three-year-old daughter, Petra,was on Wednesday remanded in Ikoyi Prisons on the orders of a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos. Nielsen, a Danish citizen, is being tried on a two-count charge bordering on murder. The prosecutor, CSP Effiong Asuquo, told the court that the accused committed the offences on April 5 at his residence at Block 4, Flat 17,Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi. He alleged that the accused killed his wife, Zainab, 37, and her daughter, Petra, in the house. “The accused who was always at loggerheads with his wife had hit her head on the wall several times leading to her death; he also proceeded to poison his daughter. “He had dragged their lifeless bodies under the gas to create the impression that they suffocated to death as a result of a gas leakage”. Danish man, Peter Nielsen, who has been accused of killing his wife Zainab Alizee, and daughter, Petra, is said to be “fully cooperating” with the investigators at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID. The Nigerian police in swift action have arrest Peter Nielsen, in connection with the murder of his Nigerian wife and Ali Zainab 'Alizee', and their four-year-old daughter. He has been the number one suspect since news of Alizee's death broke. Mother and daughter were murdered in the family’s residence at Ocean Parade, Banana Island, in the early hours of Thursday. While details of the murders are sketchy, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, confirmed the incident as well as the arrest of the suspect for murder. Family of Bilyaminu Bello, the son of ex-PDP chairman, Haliru Bello, who was recently stabbed to death by his wife, Maryam Sanda, have finally broken their silence on the very sad incident that occured on Sunday, November 19th. In Oyo state, a court has sentenced Yewande Oyediran to seven years imprisonment for stabbing her husband, Lowo Adelowo, to death in February 2016. Yewande who is a lawyer and a Staff of Directorate of public prosecution at the Ministry of Justice, Ibadan, Oyo state, stabbed her 38 year old husband to death after a domestic dispute at their Akobo estate home in Ibadan on Fevruary 2nd 2016.
