Ritualists Behead Okada Rider In Edo (SEE PHOTOS)

In Ekpoma in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State suspected ritualists beheaded a commercial motorcyclist and carted his head away in one of the goriest attacks ever witnessed in the community.
According to eyewitness, the gruesome incident occurred at 8pm on a lonely street adjacent to the Ambrose Alli University College of Medicine.
After beheading the Okada rider, the ritualists left his body in a pool of BLO*D with splashes all over the scene.

It was learnt that the hoodlums boarded the motorcycle, pretending to be passengers and then attacked the driver once they were aboard. One local resident said he heard a loud shout for help, accompanied with heavy bangs on the gates of some houses on the street.
Apparently, the ritualists reportedly overpowered the hapless motorcyclist and took away his head.
After local residents found the headless body the following morning in a pool of BLO*D, they alerted the police, who removed it. Across Esan West Local Government Area, residents are said to have become used to retreating indoors early, following constant robbery attacks on the street.
Police spokesman A A Shaibu, the divisional police officer in charge of Esan West Local Government, confirmed the incident, adding that the matter had been transferred to the command’s headquarters in Benin for further investigation. Another police source said some suspects, including the younger brother of the deceased, were being investigated over the crime.
‘The younger brother is being interrogated as the last person that called the deceased’s mobile phone before the killing,” the source added.

Senate Indicts Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Over Loss of N1.6tr Revenue

Nigeria's imediate past minister of Finance ,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been indicted by the Nigerian senate over a N1.7t loss in revenue. According to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Alleged Misuse, Under-Remittance and Other Fraudulent Activities, revenue agencies short-changed the Federal Government to the tune of N1.7tn as unremitted revenue generated between 2012 and 2016. The panel blamed it on a memo by a former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who allegedly issued the memo to the agencies to remit 25 per cent of revenue they generated to the Federal Government and spend 75 per cent on their expenditures. An interim report by the committee chaired by Senator Olamilekan Adeola, details this. The panel said the amount to be remitted to the Federal Government during the period by 93 agencies it investigated was N21.5tn. It alleged that 25 of the 93 agencies covered defrauded the government of a total of N1,695,585,887,406.
