PHOTO: Meet one of President Buhari's Ministerial Nominees from Benue State
After months of speculation, there was strong indication that the Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, yesterday submitted the names of ministerial nominees to the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
Just this evening, Senate President, Bukola Saraki confirmed receipt of the list saying “About an hour ago, I received the list of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees from the Chief of Staff to Mr. President, Abba Kyari, and the Special Adviser to Mr. President on National Assembly (Senate) Sen. Ita Enang.”
Benue.com.ng can authoritatively confirm that All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, Chief Audu Ogbeh is on President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list.
Sources close to the Presidency confirmed to Benue.com.ng that after thorough scrutiny, the former PDP National Chairman is one of the 36 nominees that passed the rubicon against corruption to make the list.
Our source added that Chief Ogbeh was under consideration to be minister of either agriculture or water resources, however couldn’t confirm whether he was the sole nominee from Benue State or not.
Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh hails from Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. His 39-year old political career have seen him rise through the ranks from state assembly member in 1979 to being minister and also chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from 2001 to 2005. Since leaving the PDP, the veteran politician has been an Elder statesman in the All Progressives Congress, APC and close confident of President Buhari.
