KOGI: Important Things to know About Kogi APC'S Candidate ,Yahaya Bello

As we all know the Late APC’S Gubernatorial candidate was almost 70years old and a lot of people questioned why the ruling party was only good at choosing candidates who were too old to hold political offices. Well, this time around they chose someone younger to replace the Late Prince Abubakar Audu.

  Below are things you should know about Mr Yahaya Bello:


1. He was born on the 18th of June, 1975 to the family of Alhaji Bello and Hajiya Hauwa.

2. He hails from Igbirra, Okene local government area in Kogi central senatorial district.

3. He attended Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) primary school, Agassa in Okene LGA and finished in 1989.
After he finished from secondary school in 1994, he enrolled for the IJMB programme at the Kaduna State Polytechnic, Zaria. He spent five months on the programme and passed the exams with 12 points with which he was offered admission at the Ahmadu Bell University, Zaria to study BSc Accounting.

5. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the same institution.
6. He did his one year National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme at Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in Abuja.

7. He is a businessman and the Managing Director of FairPlus International Ltd.

8. He is the chairman of Kogi Youth Arise Forum.

9. He is also a Chartered Fellow of Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN).

10. He worked at the Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission where he rose to the position of Assistant Chief Accountant.

Alhaji Yahaya Bello Adoza (Fair Plus) is an astute business man and the Managing Director of FairPlus International Ltd and also the Director of Kogi Youth Arise Forum.

Suswam rains SUVs on Benue Governor-Elect, others

  Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam, has donated eight brand new Toyota Prado SUVs to the Governor-Elect, Chief Samuel Ortom; his wife; the Deputy Governor-Elect, Benson Abounu, and his wife, as part of measures to ensure peaceful transition arrangement. This presentation was made by the Governor on Thursday at the state house in Makurdi in the face of the heavy criticism his administration has faced for owing salaries of workers for over six months. Senate Indicts Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Over Loss of N1.6tr Revenue

Nigeria's imediate past minister of Finance ,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been indicted by the Nigerian senate over a N1.7t loss in revenue. According to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Alleged Misuse, Under-Remittance and Other Fraudulent Activities, revenue agencies short-changed the Federal Government to the tune of N1.7tn as unremitted revenue generated between 2012 and 2016. The panel blamed it on a memo by a former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who allegedly issued the memo to the agencies to remit 25 per cent of revenue they generated to the Federal Government and spend 75 per cent on their expenditures. An interim report by the committee chaired by Senator Olamilekan Adeola, details this. The panel said the amount to be remitted to the Federal Government during the period by 93 agencies it investigated was N21.5tn. It alleged that 25 of the 93 agencies covered defrauded the government of a total of N1,695,585,887,406.
