In Benue, Boy Allegedly Arrested After Trying to Take Pictures of a House Belonging Governor Ortom's Aide
I stumbled across this post on Facebook by one Mr Linus Hagher accusing the SSA to Governor Ortom on Chieftaincy and local Government , Hon. Titus Zam for ordering the arrest of Solomon S.Ushir for allegedly taking pictures of a house he was building. Please read his post below:
By Linus Hagher..
''TITUS ZAM, EMULATE YOUR BOSS:
I understand that you have ordered the arrest of one Solomon Ushir for allegedly taking a shot of a structure you are erecting. You may have your reasons but I ordinarily would have expected you to report him to security agencies if you felt he was up to something strange. This is because you are neither the Commissioner of Police nor the Director of the SSS in Benue. You are also not the Chief Security Officer of the state. At this time when even the governor has pledged not to go after those who are against him, I expect you to emulate the number one citizen of the state. You should have even waited to see what that young man intended to do with the pictures he took. That would have given you a chance to institute a court case if you felt injured then the court would have ordered his arrest. The government of your principal is facing some challenges including undue criticisms. So you have to avoid what could project the administration as one that encourages impunity''.
Well, i don't know if his accusations are real but taking pictures of one's property without proper permission is also an offense. But i hope the issue be resolved.
