COLLAPSED BRIDGE: Benue Legislator Rescues Community from Imminent Flood.

* Promises more Intervention in Critical Areas.
A Member of the Benue State House of Assembly representing Gboko-East State Constituency Hon. Mrs Lydia Ngohemba Agaigbe has through constituency assignments saved the people of Agedam area of Gboko North-West from flood which threatened to sweep houses in the area as erosion encroaches on people's homes owing to the collapse of a major bridge across Konshisha stream in the area.

The bridge is said to have collapsed about nine years ago obstructing traffic at the popular Genger road. Speaking to Benue Revival in Gboko, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Gboko North-West Council Ward who is also chairman of forum of APC chairmen in the 17 Council Wards in Gboko Hon. Basil Yina commended the legislator for coming to the rescue of the community. He expressed hope that the bridge if finally completed would re-connect the area with the rest of the town as life would also be given back to the Genger settlement as a result of the anticipated resumption in economic activities.

When contacted, initiator of the project and member representing Gboko-East in the State Assembly Mrs. Lydia Agaigbe assured thee people of her constituency of adequate representation adding that more of such interventions were going on in so many other communities in the area while a lot is still being expected considering the hope of development contained in Governor Samuel Ortom's budget of change.
