DENEN'S DEATH: Security Assigned to Protect Terwase Akwaza Aka Ghana, has Been Withdrawn...

Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) assigned to protect former militia leader, Terwase Akwaza also known as Gana have been withdrawn, according to reliable sources.

Mr Akwaza was one of those granted amnesty by the state Governor, Samuel Ortom following renunciation of his old ways and submission of illegally possessed weapons.
However, just under a year later, Mr Akwaza was linked with the murder of Governor Ortom’s aide on Security, Denen Igbana.
When Igbana was murder last month, eyewitness said he made a dying declaration, accusing Mr Akwaza of complicity.
Consequently, Akwaza has been declared wanted by police; a claim he continues to refute on the pages of newspapers. It remains to be seen how this plays out.
Already, 15 persons including the Governor’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Arc Joe Kyaagba have been arrested an charged to court over the murder.
