FULANI MASSACRE: Again, Fulani Herdsmen Attacks Community in Benue State,Kills Many

By Elder Joseph Anawah

The nomadic Fulani militia, yesterday Monday, 27/616 launched fierce attacks on three communities in Logo LGA of Benue state killing scores and wounding many others.

The jihadists attacked Audu, Abuul Norsua and Kulungu villages in Tombo council ward where they shot sporadically wounding so many men and women. Some of the victims have been taken to Makurdi for urgent Medical attention. This attack occurred about 8-9am yesterday.
Later in the day, about 2:30pm gun shots were heard at Ordughga Nagwa village near Anyiin very close to Arufu a Taraba settlement along Wukari road. The attackers left one dead. The slain teenager is from Ukemberagya in Gaambe-tiev.
As if that was not enough, the invaders the same yesterday launched another attack at Akenawe village around Meeme settlement area of Tswarev at about 8-9pm when wake keep was going on. Several people were badly wounded and are receiving treatment at medical facilities at Anyiin. Some of the badly wounded are fighting between life and death because of their bad conditions.
Investigation reveals that the Fulani militia is taking refuge in abandoned buildings at Arufu a Taraba settlement located along Wukari-Anyiin road. Efforts by the JTF to flush them out of this hideout were not successful because Arufu is guarded by heavily armed Mobile Police Squad deployed from Jalingo the Taraba state Headquarters to secure the place.
Eyewitness account holds that some of the Fulani militia were dressed in Police uniform but in an unprofessional manner as others had on Police Trousers with T-Shirt while others wore T-Shirts on black trousers. The description suits the earlier report that imported Fulani militants through Tunga village in Nassarawa state are dressed in all kinds of security uniforms.
