Member House of Representative for Buruku federal Constituency,Rt.Hon.Barr.E.Y.Orker Jev yesterday in Adi headquarters of Etulo kingdom in Buruku Local govt Condemned the wanton destruction of lives and properties by Etulo themselves over a kingship position.

Hon Orker Jev who addressed Etulo people shortly after being conducted round some of the houses destroyed as a result of the crises expressed shocked and disappointment with this behaviors.
According to him after the crises the problem they were fighting for have not been resolved rather it has brought hardship and downfall on Etulo family who have been living together in peace.
Handing over relief materials to the community leader of Etulo for onward distribution to the affected persons, a statement signed by Mr Desmond Ikyume his media aide, Hon Emmanuel Yisa Orker Jev called on Etulo people to embraced amnesty program of Ortom administration and maintain peace for over all development of the area stating categorically that if for any reason they fight again he will not assists in any way.
In their responses community leader of Etulo,Mr Ajono Otsele and Elder Oga Agamgba,Rev Dr Solomon Adi,Awa Ugwu as well as Alefu Efu district head of Etulo who was represented by Adamgu Akugwa all commended Hon Orker Jev for taking time out of his tight schedule to visit the crises area of Etulo and promised to live in peace again,but however call on Benue State govt to probe the crises in order to prosecute perpetrators of this crime.They also accused The Benue state police command for aiding some actors of the crises.
Efforts to get response from Benue State police Public Relations Officer on the allegation failed as his cell phone was not reachable as time of the press.

Senate Indicts Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Over Loss of N1.6tr Revenue

Nigeria's imediate past minister of Finance ,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been indicted by the Nigerian senate over a N1.7t loss in revenue. According to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Alleged Misuse, Under-Remittance and Other Fraudulent Activities, revenue agencies short-changed the Federal Government to the tune of N1.7tn as unremitted revenue generated between 2012 and 2016. The panel blamed it on a memo by a former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who allegedly issued the memo to the agencies to remit 25 per cent of revenue they generated to the Federal Government and spend 75 per cent on their expenditures. An interim report by the committee chaired by Senator Olamilekan Adeola, details this. The panel said the amount to be remitted to the Federal Government during the period by 93 agencies it investigated was N21.5tn. It alleged that 25 of the 93 agencies covered defrauded the government of a total of N1,695,585,887,406.
