The governor recently ordered the demolition of the houses and other structures in the communities to curb incessant abductions and cult activities, according to Linda Ikeji.
Last week, the governor led an onslaught against kidnappers, cultists and other gangsters in the state with an ongoing demolition of their hideouts in Port Harcourt and Obio Akpor local government areas of the state.
The state government had said it discovered that the communities had become havens for criminals in the state.
The protesters defied heavily armed security officials urging the governor to rescind his decision
