BENUE: That We May Know You Support IGEDE Trado-Cultural Freedom
By James Ibechi
Over the years, a growing number of people across the geo-political spectrum have been speaking glowingly on the need for recognition of Igede as a distinct cultural entity separable from Idoma speaking ethnic, but this is not achievable without a parliamentary act.
Right now, the opportunity beckons for the Igede nation for self-actualization and self-determination through a creation of Igede Area Traditional Council with its first class chief as Paramount ruler. Tiv, Idoma and Igede folks, please voice out your support here. The Benue State House of Assembly hears the matter this Thursday. We cannot afford to miss this chance! Let us know if you are a true friend of Igede nation.
