Federal Government To Invest N1.8 Billion For Juice Factory In BSU

The Vice Chancellor of the Benue State University Prof. Msugh Kembe has disclosed that the Federal Ministry of Agriculture is to invest N1.8 Billion in the institution for the establishment of a Juice factory.Kembe also disclosed that the foundation for the University Senate building project will be laid in few weeks time and completed in the next two years.

his office when he received the Senior Special Assistant to Benue state
Governor Samuel Ortom on Diaspora Affairs Rev. Peter Ichull on a
courtesy call.
He commended Governor Ortom for appointing Rev. Ichull as his aide on Diaspora Affiars which he described as well deserved.
Rev Ichull who led other government functionaries noted that the visit was for the purpose of better communication and linkages.
He said, "The reason for this visit is for better communication with our people abroad as an important objective of the diaspora policy. The governor recognizes the unique and important relationship between Benue and its diaspora and will henceforth set out actions to nurture and develop this special relationship.
"The Governor also values the ideas, skills and contributions of Benue citizens abroad, just as those living in the state. The governor considers Benue people of more value than any natural resource and therefore, considers the entire populace as his basic first priority.
"The second and most important purpose of this visit is to make a commitment to the university management that the diaspora desk will be available to support your global linkages with international corporations, training institutions and any other international service that may facilitate the fulfillment of your mandate to the student community in particular and Benue state in general."
Others on the government delegations were Principal Special Assistant on Food Security Mrs. Dorcas Ukpe, Senior Special Assistant on Economic Development Mr. Innocent Kwaghmande, Member, Benue State Government's Economic Team Daniel Gbabo and two others.
