PHOTONEWS: JS Tarka Foundation Full To It Capacity At The Grand Finale Of Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom's HIV/AIDS Awareness Program
Finalé of Step-Down 🎗AIDS2016 Conference organized by the 🌍International AIDS Society (IAS) in 🇿🇦Durban - South towards Ending 🎗HIV/AIDS transmission by the year 2030, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom, Wife of the Governor of 🇳🇬Benue State and Founder, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) flag off 💃🏼Adolescents 🎗HIV/AIDS prevention programme to sensitize mothers on the strategies towards achieving the ideals of "Getting to Zero".
🔵Phase 1 of the Programme which is devoted to Women Sensitization, Counselling and Testing commenced today in Makurdi for Participants from MINDA axis, encompassing Gwer, Gwer West, Makurdi and Guma LGAs.
🔴In a speech to the Women, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom stated inter alia, "I am exceedingly honored to speak before you Benue Women of MINDA extraction on this auspicious occasion of Sensitization on Ending Adolescents HIV/AIDS transmission and HIV/AIDS related deaths in Benue State.
⚡️I have carried out this important task covering Zones 'C', 'A' and part of Zone 'B', Jemgbagh to be specific. Today's event is special because I consider it a sort of finalé and this is my home - MINDA.
🔵Since inception of the Samuel Ortom administration, the target on HIV/AIDS has remained, "Getting To Zero" in line with the United Nations Resolution, which of course implies, "Zero New Infections, Zero Discrimination, and Zero HIV/AIDS Related Deaths".
🔴After this phase 1, it is hoped that by the 2nd Phase which cover the 23 Local Governments of the State will be carried out before September, this year."
☄Justice Mary Abounu, Wife of the Deputy Governor; ☄Dr. Gideon Dura, Executive Secretary, BENSACA; ☄Mrs. Ashi Wende, WHO Project Manager ; ☄Dr. Tule of PMCTC; and the ☄Executive Secretary, Benue State Primary Health Care Board were among the Speakers at the Occasion.
