EDO 2016: Police, DSS Ask INEC to Postpone Governorship Election

The Nigerian Police Force and the Department of state security services, DSS have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the Edo state governorship election.


DAILY TRUST reports that Don Awunah, police spokesman, and Garba Abdullahi, an agent of the DSS‎, made the call this afternoon during a press conference in Abuja.

According to them, credible intelligence available to the security agencies indicate possible terror attack during Sallah celebration, especially in Edo State.
