APC Chieftain , Accuses David Mark For The Underdevelopment Of Idoma Land

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Benue State, Chief Godwin Acha, has accused Senator representing Benue South Senatorial Zone for being responsible for the unemployment of the zone.

Chief Acha who described the Senator as greedy and selfish saying he has no interest of the people at heart.
In a chat with newsmen, Chief Acha revealed that Mark, a retired military officer who was the number three man in the nation for eight years, had every chance and privilege to turn the constituency to ‘heaven on earth’ but that for his ‘selfish interest, he decided to look the other way and enrich his pocket instead.’
The APC chieftain recalled that he nearly lost his life when he came out to challenge a politician who wanted to grab the land of his people in the village.
“How did we get here? For sixteen years, a man occupied a seat and he has nothing to show for it.
“Can even Mark and his praise singers drive along Otukpo township road and be bold to call it their hometown? This is pure wickedness.
“We are both from the same village but I am ashamed to identify with his failed leadership style.
“For sixteen years as the senator representing Benue South, he has nothing to show for it. You won’t believe that pupils of the only primary school in Akpegede, Mark’s village, sit on the bare floor to receive lessons.
“I am not castigating him; if you care, I can take you there to see things yourself. I have been to Udi, Ike Ekweremadu’s village and was moved to tears because of what he has done for his people.
“What then is our pride that we have a son who was number three man in the nation for eight years?
“Instead of attracting development to our land, he instead plundered the land. As long as he remains there, don’t expect any meaningful development in our land,” Acha fumed.
Commending the current administration ofGovernor Samuel Ortom, the APC chieftain said the governor might have his own bad sides but was far better than the former governor, Gabriel Suswam.
According to him, few weeks after assuming office, the people of Otukpo were able to have portable water after many years of drinking from the mud.
