Benue State Government Allocates 1700 Plots Of Land At Yaikyo

The Benue State  Bureau of Land and Survey has allocated about 1700 plots to Iorbee Rada Community at Genabe phase VII, behind prisons at Yaikyo.

This was disclosed by the special adviser to the Governor on Bureau of Land and Survey, Prof. Jonathan Uever yesterday in an interactive session with newsmen. 
He said the Ortom administration was working towards keeping its promise of transparent and equitable land management system 
His words: “We had several meetings with communities and agreed on land sharing formula in the state. 70% of the total land surveyed, demarcated and beaconed is given to the community, while 30% is returned for the state 
Prof. Uever maintained that, the 30% returned by the state will be allocated to people who have applied for land. He added that, title issuance has been made easy to enable people get their allocation papers and certificates of occupancy on time 
Confirming, the Chairman, Iorbee Rada Community, Mr Sarwuan Igbueku who was at the office with his subjects to collect their allocation papers described the exercise as a smooth, credible and transparent one. He ended by giving thanks to the Ortom administration for the trend
