BENUE KILLING: Police Arrest Some Persons Over Zaki Biam Killings

Following the recent attack on a popular yam market in Zaki Biam area of Benue state. The Police in Benue  are said to have arrested three suspects in connection with the Monday killings at Zaki Biam in Ukum local government area of the state. 


 The arrest was made public by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Yanmu. He said, the suspects were picked at various locations in the state. He said investigation on the matter is ongoing.

 The PPRO said 17 persons had been killed while 11 others were wounded by gunmen who attacked the village.

 Yanmu appealed to the public to volunteer information that would lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the attacks.  

 Meanwhile, some individuals have faulted the arrest of suspects, since the police has failed to arrest a single Fulani herdsmen in the recent attacks in Buruku local government area in which claimed 15 lives.
