2019 Presidency: PDP Secretly Settles For Atiku, Fayose As It Presidential Candidate

As igeria edges close to 2019 Presidential election, the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP may have secretly settled for the joint ticket of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose as Presidential and its Vice candidates, tweet according to Sahara Reporters suggests.

 Recall the PDP has shortlisted Atiku among other All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftains that the party would convince to return to the party.

 To this end, the PDP has planned to set up a special committee to convince those who defected from the former ruling party to the All Progressives Congress and other political parties.

 Others APC Chieftains targeted by the PDP are the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, a former Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso; and two former Governors of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Alao-Akala, former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliu Wamako;  former Governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtala Nyako(retd.) and some other members of national and state assemblies that had left the PDP.

Just yesterday, the duo of former Oyo States Governors, Alhaji Rasheed Ladoja and Chief Alao Akala sent a representative each to a PDP pally meeting.
