'I did Not Owe Workers 8 Months Salaries' - Former Gov. Suswam Replies Engr Nat Apir

There was uproar yesterday on the Benue cyber space regarding a comment of endorsement of a former DG of NAFDAC, Dr Paul Orhi by the Kwande people.

After the said endorsement, a journalist by name Apia Empraims took to his social media handle to post the endorsement statement  with a message referring to MINDA as 'failures'due to the abysmal performance of the Benue state government, Samuel Ortom in the area of infrastructures and payment of workers salaries. However, the statement has angered so many people from that axis rejecting the 'failure tag'. And it has continued through today. 

Most hit by such comment is an elder statesman, Nat Apir, who took to his media handle to out-rightly rebuke such statement with facts and figures of all the past governors from previous administration and listing the months they owned workers including that of immediate passed governor ,Gabriel Suswam saying he owed up to eight months salary.

All of these Governors were declared failures!
It is in our DNA. So to say Samuel Ortom has failed is nothing new.
The only thing that is new here is the tagging of a whole people - MINDA as failures.
Nobody tagged Jemgbagh , Sankera and Kwande as failures on account of the leadership failures of their sons.
Aku struggled to get a second term ditto Akume , and Suswam.
Aku owed 9 months Teachers salary
Akume left 7 months unpaid civil servants and Teachers salary
Suswam left 5 months civil servants and 8 months Teachers salary unpaid
To now say MINDA has failed woefully is begging the issue.
Lets address issues of governance and stop this clannish tendencies of tagging/painting a whole people as failures!

 In swift response, the former governor, Gabriel Suswam asked the poster to check his records, that he never owed workers up to 8 months. 

Check the record I didn't not leave five months and 8months salaries of civil servants and teachers he said.

The journalist , Ephraim on his part who stirred the controversy with his post came on same post to clarify his post in order to douse the heat. Read it below...

Because a lot have demanded that I throw more light, I'll oblige and state as follows;
1 The 'THEY SAID' in the news story stands for the KWANDE people in attendance at the said endorsement and I was professional enough to publish their meeting pictures.
2 The statement did not emanate from me but rather the people at the meeting.
3 I beg not to be misquoted on this matter to term me a clannish bigot please.
