Yesterday,  news broke on a supposed heated argument between the HoS ,Oyo-Ita and Chief of Staff ,Abba Kyari over the saga that led to a leak memo concerning the reinstatement of ex pension reform boss,Maina ,where it was stated that she actually warned President Buhari before things went awry.


This was what happened;

 Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari who was already seated for the Federal Executive Councils meeting verbally attacked the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita as soon as she got seated at the Council Chambers of the Villa. Kyari ,engaged her in a discussion which eventually appeared heated.



Visibly angry, according to Dailytrust, the Head of Service was overheard telling Kyari that she had reached the peak of her career in the civil service and that she is not an elected official.

Oyo-Ita later rose from her seat and headed straight to Osinbajo, who also engaged her in a tête-a-tete over the issue.

The mild drama played out in the presence of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, John Odigie-Oyegun.

Senate Indicts Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Over Loss of N1.6tr Revenue

Nigeria's imediate past minister of Finance ,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been indicted by the Nigerian senate over a N1.7t loss in revenue. According to the Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Alleged Misuse, Under-Remittance and Other Fraudulent Activities, revenue agencies short-changed the Federal Government to the tune of N1.7tn as unremitted revenue generated between 2012 and 2016. The panel blamed it on a memo by a former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who allegedly issued the memo to the agencies to remit 25 per cent of revenue they generated to the Federal Government and spend 75 per cent on their expenditures. An interim report by the committee chaired by Senator Olamilekan Adeola, details this. The panel said the amount to be remitted to the Federal Government during the period by 93 agencies it investigated was N21.5tn. It alleged that 25 of the 93 agencies covered defrauded the government of a total of N1,695,585,887,406.
