JOBS: Nigeria Customs Service Clearifies On Alleged Nationwide Recruitment Exercise

Previously, there were speculations that, the Nigeria Customs had started a mass recruitment of new personnel but it turned that the information was false.

According to a report on DailyPost, the Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for Borno and Yobe States, Joshua Angbalaga, has cleared the air about reports on mass recruitment exercise by the agency.

Angbalaga told newsmen at a parley in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Wednesday, that the reports were false.

He said when the time is right for customs to begin mass recruitment, the agency will inform the public accordingly.

The controller, however, warned Nigerians to be wary of suspected hoodlums going about claiming that they could help them to get jobs in the Customs Service.

“When the customs begin to recruit, we shall inform you accordingly”, he said.

“I assure you that anybody parading himself as having the power to help any young person come in is not telling you the truth.

“He is a lying tout,” Angbalaga stated.
