Governor Simon Lalong Sends Delegation To Benue State To Convey His Apology Again
The Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom on Tuesday said he had accepted and forgiven his colleague, the Plateau state Governor, Simon Lalong over the comment he made in the heat of Benue killings before he even tendered an apology Premium Times reports.
Ortom ,stated this in Makurdi when a delegation from Plateau led by the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Festus Fuater, paid him a condolence visit.
The Plateau governor had blamed the violence on Benue state’s newly-implemented anti-open grazing law, telling journalists he had warned the governor to seek alternatives.
Although, Ortom previously denied receiving such advice from the governor.
