Tragedy struck in Plateau state following the death of a former Senator , General John Nanzip Shagaya (Rtd).

 The former senator represented Plateau Southern Zone has died following a ghastly motor accident on his way to his hometown, Langtang , according to Daily Post.

 Shagaya was an erstwhile Senator who represented Plateau South in the National Assembly from 2007 – 2011.
Shagaya was also a former ECOMOG Peacekeeping Commander in Liberia and a former Minister of Interior, under General Ibrahim Babangida’s regime.

 Family sources said he died after a ghastly motor accident along Langtang Road, in southern plateau.

 The former Senator was recently appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to head the board of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
