UPDATE: What CAN is doing over Leah Sharibu and Nasarawa Killings
Christians under the aegis of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Nasarawa State chapter on Wednesday staged a protest over the incessant killings in the state by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The protesters were seen on the streets chanting songs while carrying placards with inscriptions like ‘Stop The Killings; Release Sharibu’, ‘Stop herdsmen killings’.
It could be recalled that three persons were on Wednesday reportedly killed by unknown gunmen and 13 houses were razed down in a fresh attack at the Azara and Kadarko areas of Keana Local Government of the state.
They also asked for the release of Christian girl, Leah Sharibu still being held captive by Boko Haram insurgents.
